This athletic tape works nicely. Personally, I still struggle to get it on (ankle) without some wrinkles here and there that are hard to smooth out. But that's likely user error and the fact that wrapping from one side of the foot underneath and around to the other is a challenge - especially with varying degrees of targeted stretch. Happily, the tendon in need of support appears to be coming around to be less painful, so I will likely have plenty of leftover in this generous 3-pack for future use - hopefully not needed! Another reason there'll be leftovers is that once it's applied, it really does remain in place for days on end. I was doubtful about this but, as advertised, it really does seem to last once applied - even with my creases here and there. If I got really good at applying it without any wrinkles, that would suggest I've been in need for way too long ... so my amateur skills are a sign of quick healing. ;-) Read more
Tweaked my arm pretty bad a month or so ago and apparently developed shoulder impingement syndrome. Discovered the miracle of KT-Tape upon doing an internet search of the pain symptoms I was experiencing 2-3 weeks ago. Had been using KT-Tape because it worked great for isolating the particular tendon, but despite how strong it went on it quickly started coming off in the shower or when any wet liquid was applied (sweat included). I even shaved my arm and wiped it down with alcohol before each application... it just wouldn't stick. Not seeing any other good option in my local stores I went online to Amazon and quickly found this tape. I do not often write reviews for my numerous of purchases on Amazon, but I just had to with this product. It holds. The edges have stayed adhered to the skin on my arm for 2 days now. No fraying of the edges as I use my arm to reach for things in my pocket or if I perform any activity where my arm might brush against something. No waking up in the morning to find half the tape on my arm already peeled off. It is softer feeling (like satin or silk) than KT-Tape and adheres very nicely for me at least, still performing the same preparation of my arm as I did with the KT-Tape. The only con would be that if you need to really get a good stretch on this tape it will do it BUT the sides of the tape can curl up a little bit... However, despite this the tape maintains the hold and the edges have not progressed passed the initial curl that occurred when I applied the tape initially. I am impressed and would recommend anyone to try this tape if they are having issues with KT-Tape brand. Read more
This product works great as long as you dont have sensitive skin. I read the review and took the chance anyway. I was super stocked that it's made in the US so I wanted it to work. I needed it for my wrist and hoped it would work out. It arrived fast and I put it on as soon as I got it. It cuts nicely and the guide lines on the inside are super helpful. I rounded the edges at the ends to keep fraying from happening and it worked. The adhesive is nice and strong and it lasted two days the first time. I did feel a warm sensation under the tape but the relief was so nice I didn't care. Once the tape was off I noticed the blisters and man did they itch! Unfortunately I am allergic to the adhesive. I am so very disappointed since the tape is wonderful at giving relief of pain. Although it doesn't work for me because of the adhesive, I would recommend this product 100%. It did relieve pain and swelling. I give great props to the company and Amazon, I returned them with with no issue (2 unused rolls and the 3rd was only missing 3 inches). This is the worst k-tape style product I have ever used. It does not allow you to control the stretch the way a traditional woven K tape does, and it barely sticks. The corners start to roll immediately, and it barely hangs on for a full day, and not that long if you're sweating at all. I have used plenty of different brands and am very good about never touching the sticky side, using sharp scissors to creat clean, smooth corners (I have a special pair of scissors just for this purpose), etc. so it’s not user error. I only tried this on the promise it was waterproof because I wanted something I didn’t have to replace every time I surfed, but honestly Rock Tape is so much better, and doesn’t even call itself waterproof. I can only say I’m glad I got the three pack as I will probably have to use all of it rehabing one injury, and I will be sticking to what I know works in the future. I recommend you do the same.
