Impressively simple to setup and use

Very impressive given the cost and general design. I was rather shocked to not have to download/install a driver (Windows 10, MacOS 10.13 High Sierra and 10.14 Mojave), it literally just worked after a short while. I'm assuming it's because the OS downloaded the necessary software, but even then, it was seamless and perfect. I'm not gaming on this, and while OS animations are just a tad less fluid on this versus native, it's pretty negligible. It works, it shows up as a second monitor/screen, it's not obnoxiously finicky or cuts out. If you need another display for regular office/movie viewing, you can't really go wrong with this. About the only complaint I have is the eye-searingly bright LED (seriously people, enough with the bright LEDs). Read more

Pro: Works well, decent price, Con: a bit large or clunky - Pro's outway Con for USB 2.0

Options are limited for adding a 1080p modern HDMI (or even DVI) monitor to an older PC that does not have either an HDMI/DVI or USB 3.0/USB-C port. Such was my case as the i5 3rd gen All-In-One PC I had was still performing well and I wanted to add a new 24/27" Monitor to it. This product meets this need very well. If the PC had even a VGA port I might have tried that 1st, but VGA, even at 1080p, is analog and subject to ghosting/'static' or other issues and I might have ended up w this anyway. (DVI is digital and that would have worked) This adaptor uses DisplayLink protocol which is very well supported on Windows 10 (yes most Win7/8 pc's can still be upgraded to win 10 for free even in 2021) -If you need a similar solution I highly recommend this and highly discourage you from non-displaylink based devices (at work we tried J-create and others that do 'casting' and the lag is totally unacceptable). Lastly, if you only have usb 2.0 pc ports, do not buy a usb 3.0 version of an adaptor like this- while they might 'work' or say 'backward compatible to 2.0' -NO, they will only give you very unacceptable 800x600 resolution Read more

Exactly what I needed

Several years ago I purchased an All-in-One computer and could not figure out how to connect a second monitor. I had pretty much not thought about it until March of this year when the pandemic hit and I began working from home. Once it became apparent that I was going to be home for quite sometime, I inquired with IT about hooking up a second monitor at home. They had told me there was no way to hook one to my current home pc, and offered me some other options, that did not work. For approximately 3 months I had been waiting on back ordered equipment/adapters from my employer and none worked when they arrived. Finally, beyond frustrated, I did renewed research myself and discovered this product. I ordered it on a Friday, it arrived Sunday and it probably took me longer to open the box than it did to set up. Extremely easy and works great. I have been using it for a week now and could not be happier! Read more

If you need to extend your display, look no further.

A simple solution for extending your display. My laptop only has one HDMI out port, so I had no way to extend the display until I found this. It’s super reliable and the price is good. I’ve used this 8+ hours a day, every day for work with zero issues whatsoever for the past couple months or so. Video quality is just as good as the HDMI out from my laptop. There is no lag, screen tearing, artifacts or anything like that. No software is needed. Just remember to download the free utility to make sure your laptop is compatible before you buy! Read more

Software down load required

Did not meet expections. I use windows 11, a required download of new software is required. This was not indicated in the summary on Amazon. Downloading different software with Windows 11 can be a profound chanllenge. L Read more

Awesome product except heating issue

Product is heating a lot while using 4 monitors. It may be normal but I’m worried it won’t last long. Delivery and setup was very smooth I wish there were additional ports to connect different devices as well via USB. Read more
