This Book Is CUTE, No Shame :)

We've gotten other books from amazon with higher ratings, however this one seems to have done the trick. Our almost 2 1/2 year old daughter was doing great with potty training, but always a struggle going number 2. Other books we bought suggested diet change, another book was just being silly about the topic, but none of them worked. It was almost as if she was ashamed to poop, even if we cheered her on 🤷 Once this book was introduced to her, it made all the difference. She would let us know, and go. She reads this on the potty now and then. Lets be honest here... Thank goodness it's a board book, because it's easy to clean for one. The images are bright and friendly. Art style is really nice too, for such an odd topic. Sounds funny saying pictures of animals pooping look nice, but there you have it. Everyone does it, I mean, come on, it's a natural bodily function! Mommy and Daddy learned some interesting things from this book too, like who knew dragons used up so much TP (maybe that's why there's been a shortage)?! Haha! It's really cute, fun, and educational. Love the variety of different people in it too. Overall it sends a good message. Ours came with a learning app QR Code. We haven't used it yet, but that's a plus if we ever wanted to try it. Another, more personal plus for us, is on the pet page it had our corgi dog, our budgie, and my sisters cat. Read more

Helps to potty train

Such a fun, silly book. Shows kids that everyone poops, even animals! A fun way to get toddler to want to use the potty! Read more

Beautiful book and a fun read

My kids usually aren’t into books, but they actually love this one! Even if your kids are past potty training, it’s still such a fun, colorful read. The random poop facts crack us up, the artwork is great, and best of all—my kids don’t lose interest. Not sure if it’s helping my son with the toilet yet, but hey, at least he’s excited about reading! Read more

Cute and helpful book

Got this at 2.5 years for potty training and our son still likes it a year later (a helpful refresher as poop training usually takes a little more time and effort). Really normalizes pooping for littles and helped our little one's anxiety around it. Read more

Big, fun, colorful, but not as much potty pooping as expected

Minus one star for not actually having that many people/tots pooping on the potty as implied by the title. We have had this book for a week or so and are working on getting our 32mo/old to poop in the potty after successful pee potty training on a toilet. It's a pretty good book. It is well made, fun, colorful, and large (12/10in or so). The cover is the squishy hardback kind and the pages are thin board book style. The story itself consists of various animals, creatures, fairyland creatures, and aliens literally going poop and describing silly things or trivia about said poop. These things probably being true or obviously made up. In one corner of each of those pages, in a separate scene, is a small child (boys and girls with a variety of skin tones) using a training potty, saying "I poop on the potty!" The aliens and fairyland creature bits are extra ridiculous but it's mostly just good fun. Near the middle of the book is a page, that seems out of place, with adults doing their jobs out in the world and the book says that they all poop on the potty (no pooping adults). I found two things annoying about the story and the book. 1. There are not that many actual people/tots going poop on the potty. It's basically all the kids on the front cover, plus a few more, one at a time throughout the book. 2. The last page is the only page where you will find a small child using an actual toilet with nothing else happening. Also, that last page does not have the same mood as the rest of the book. Most of the book is fairly playful. You get to the last page and, while the info is good and arguably necessary, it is very matter of fact and ends abruptly. Immediately following that last page is the inside of the back cover which is full of text unrelated to the story and download our app ads. The abrupt ending followed by throwing ads for an app at me and my tot was very disorienting. It could very well be an amazing app, but the placement of the ad made me not even want to see what it said. My son does enjoy this book, but it is not yet a favorite, and I'm not convinced that it's doing anything to encourage him to poop on the potty, which was the true purpose of the purchase. Read more

Enchanting Potty Training Book

Mrs. SunshineAugust 23, 2025✓ Verified purchase

Great potty book for boys and girls! We have the kids say “And I poop on the potty” after reading about each animal or character on each page. This book makes potty training “pooping” more friendly and exciting! Highly recommend! Read more

It actually got my son to poop on the potty!

SamanthaSeptember 16, 2025✓ Verified purchase

My son just turned 3 and would not poop on the potty. Pre-school told us he needed to improve to stay enrolled (it’s a prek-8th grade school, not daycare). He was at the point where he wouldn’t even sit on it to try. When I first opened this book I didn’t think it would be a hit as there is no story and just fun poop ‘facts’. But as soon as I started, my son was hooked. I read it enthusiastically like each fact is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard and then at the end of each page, where it says ‘we poop in the potty’- we read it out loud together. After the first read, I said I would read it to him again if he’d sit on the potty and try pooping. He was totally willing. Gave him a lollipop for a reward afterwards and just like the, he was potty trained. When we’re home, I’ll read him this book while he’s going- but he goes by himself at school just fine now too.
