A great solution for those of us with multiple daily medications who need to travel often
I really like this pill case. As I get older, I find myself having to take more medications, so I find it easier to just have a daily pill case to make sure everything gets taken every day. Once a week, I fill the pills for the week, and then, if things get hectic in the morning, I never have to wonder if I remembered to take my pills for the day, as I can check that day's container. I have been using one of those long ones with a well for each day, but it is sort of a pain for two reasons. First of all, although each little daily lid does close fairly securely, I always worry when I tip the pills out of one day that one or more of the other lids will open and dump pills all over the floor (and, yes, it has happened). The other issue is travel. I travel fairly frequently for work, but generally only for a day or two. Yet I still have to bring the week-long pill case with me, which takes up more space than necessary in my toiletry bag, and also makes me worry about all of the pills for the week dumping out if the lids release. This little guy solves those issues. It has a pill receptacle for every day, each with its own, colorful, clearly marked lid, and they all fit together into one long carrying case. The bottom of the carrying case can be used alone, as a stand for the individual boxes, so that all of the days are visible and accessible, or it comes with a lid that keeps it all closed and secure. For daily use, I honestly don't plan on using the lid, as I find it easier to access the individual day boxes if the carrying container is open on the countertop. With each day being a separate container, I don't have to worry about the other days opening when I tip a week's worth of pills just to access one little box. With this, I just access that one little box independently, so the rest of the pills remain totally secure. If I were traveling with the entire week's worth of pills, or close to it, I would likely travel with the larger carrying container and its lid, just to keep everything wrangled and together. But the great thing is, if I only travel for one or two nights, I can just grab the individual containers from those days and pop them in my toiletry kit. The lids are easy to open by applying pressure to the front lip with your thumb, but they feel secure enough that they are unlikely to open on their own in your toiletry bag. (I don't think I would recommend just tossing one into a purse, though, unless you secure it in a small inside pocket. I think that if you jostle it around, sort of free floating in all of the stuff generally in a purse, it would likely end up getting knocked open.) I like that the little silicone lids are attached to the boxes with little tabs/hinges, so when you open the day's box, you don't have to worry about keeping track of the lid. The only drawback is that, if the box is empty and open, the weight of the attached lid will make it tip over backwards if you try to stand it up on the counter. That isn't really an issue though because the only reason to leave it open and empty is if you are refilling it, which you are likely to do with it placed back in the larger carrying container, where it doesn't tip over (I fill them a week at a time, so I line them all up, open, in the carrying container). I also love the rainbow colors, as I like anything that reminds me of Pride, so that is an added bonus, in my opinion. These feel well made and long lasting. They seem much more sturdy than the typical multi-day, plastic boxes I have been using. At this price point, it is a bit more money than the long, plastic boxes, but the additional functionality and quality makes it a great value for the money in my view. I highly recommend it.
