I was skeptical, but these are awesome and make free weight work so much more comfortable. I can see how they definitely prevent callouses and can't speak to the biomechanics of preventing forearm strain, but can anecdotally share the I was able to lift heavy weights with noticeably less strain on my wrists and forearms and with less fatigue. Unlike lifting straps, these fit snugly and easily into your grip so changing out sets of free weights and/or transitioning to weight-free moves in circuits is super easy and fast. I found these to be an awesome buy and about 1/4 of the price of the branded version that is widely advertised. One caveat: I'm a woman with small-ish hands (size 7 foot) and these fit my grip absolutely perfectly. I can see this item feeling too small for someone with much larger hands, so I'd consider this factor. It really feels like these should be sold in a S-M and a L-XL size. Read more

I was disappointed in these grips. I found them to be far too small to be effective and as such, they were more of a hindrance than a help. I ordered a small because my hands are smaller than the average woman. In hindsight, I should have ordered a medium. Consider ordering a size larger than what you think you would need. Read more
