I guess I shoukd have read that this DOESN'T come with weights. Given that, it is way to expensive, or at least when I came acrossed it. Now, at $13, I can see where it is more realistic. It is a very nice quality vest and I appreciate the fact that it is adjustable, and has pockets to store some items such as a cell phone. So I received this today and was pretty bummed out. I thought I was getting a really good deal on a heavy yet adjustable weight vest but instead all I got was the vest. When purchasing I quickly read the advertised title which has 2-40 pounds right at the top. Furthermore nowhere in the photos does it say vest only but it clearly advertises 2.5lbx16 weights for 40lbs. This led me to believe I was getting all the weights included. It is only now that I go back and re-read the title and right at the end it says "vest only". I wish I had seen that before I ordered this because after searching for some weights online to put in the vest, they aren't cheap... Just getting weights for this vest makes the price over $200 which is more than top quality vests that come with weights included. I'm not happy about that and for me it makes the vest useless. That aside. The vest itself does seem to be well made. The stitching seems good and the shoulder straps are well padded. There are 2 rows of 4 pockets for 2.5lb weights in the front and in the back. They look like they will keep the weights snugly in place. I like how there is a large flap that velcros over top of the weights as well. It makes the vest look sleeker. The waist straps clasp together and are adjustable to make a pretty good fit that wont have the vest shifting around while working out. I think it's a pretty nice vest overall. I wanted to give this a 1 star because of my disappointment of it only being a vest without the weights but it does say that at the end of the title. I give it 3 stars because while the vest is nice, the fact that weights are not included needs to be advertised so much more. If I can slip up on ordering this then many other people can too. First and foremost, this vest does not come with weights. The description does say this but you have to read the listing and use common sense since the price does not correspond with a fully kitted vest. It is a bit expensive for a vest without the weights but it is one of the best quality vests I own. The weights need to be a maximum of about 4-inches tall and about 2- inches wide. You can get creative and use bags of lead fishing weights, concrete or heavy metal pipe pieces, if you don't want to buy the ingot type weights which can be expensive. Bags of sand are easy to use too, but they don't have enough weight to them if you are going for the 40lb max capacity. I have a vest with integrated weights with silicone straps and those are compact and streamlined, but they aren't very heavy. This vest is super padded to make carrying the max 40lb capacity comfortable. The shoulder padding is thick as well as the padding under the weighted area. The only drawback would be extra heat and sweating with all that padding. It feels awesome when wearing. The stitching is neat and well done with no sloppiness. The reflective strips of fabric are a nice touch and is great for those of us walking or running at night. There are hanging areas for supplemental red lights and forward white lights which I use. The buckles are large - yes! I find large buckles are easy to put on and even easier to take off. The buckles do a good job of keeping the vest tight to prevent the vest from moving around. The lower pocket in the front is a perfect place to stuff my phone and small set of keys or a few cards. Overall, this is a great vest for holding ingot type weights. Read more

First off - I was surprised that to find that there were no weights at all. This kind of defeats the purpose of these and the weights tend to be the part that costs a decent amount. I now see that the description says vest only but i assumed that meant the vest is weighted with some default weight inside. The vest itself is nice - looks well made, thoughtful design. I liked the reflective tape and seems comfortable however can't fully assess without any weights to it. So the biggest issue is the cost - for something without weight, this does seem expensive. On the flipside, it's nice to customize the weights you would put in the vest, but I wish it was cheaper or provided an option that also provided some default weights. Read more
