I just found out my grandson is on the spectrum. He always wants. Hugs for the sensation of pressure and this is great. It is adjustable. You can add the weights leave them out and it doesn’t look like a staight jacket. Looks like a normal vest. It calmed him and we did puzzles for a straight half an hour. It is great. Read more

The best is very nice. It’s well made all around, with high quality materials, solid stitching, and it looks very polished overall. The beanbag weights are put into sewn in interior pockets that Velcro almost completely shut. There is no concern of them falling out, and they stay pretty close to the body of the vest is zipped up. The vest would be nicer if the weighting was evenly distributed throughout the vest, though the listing clearly shows how it works so that’s not a bad thing. It also allows for custom weight (can do less if you want) and the vest can also be worn with no weights at all. My kids both found it very comfortable to wear and we all enjoyed the way it helped calm their nervous system. I sized up so we can use it for a while, but it fits true to size. Read more

This is a nice compression vest for kids. I think the best thing about this vest is that the weights are removable which makes it adaptable to varying needs. The fabric is soft and it is easy to put on and zip up. The vest does seem to run a little short. I would have liked it if there were a zipper cover too. Apart from those two details which are definitely not deal-breakers, this vest is an incredible value for what you are receiving. Read more

I am very impressed and thankful for this vest! A friends kiddo used a similar one that wasnt nearly as stylish according to her, she has tried other weighted vests but they lacked the compression element which her son verbalized how much comfort and calm the compression style vest had given him. This hugsmiling vest seems to tick all the boxes for both him and her! It has the compression, which is easy to adjust with the large velcro sides. They are that micro type Velcro thats very low pile/low profile and flexible so the entire backside is adjustable but still feels and looks like a regular fabric. The weighted element is removeable and adjustable with 4 small fabric weight squares and 4 interior pockets to choose from for them, so you could choose to add weight only along the backside, or evenly or unevenly distribute added weight as you please. Being able to completely remove the weights makes it convenient and easy to wash the vest in a standard wash cycle of any machine. No loud thudding around or throwing your drum off potentially. Its a nice looking veat thats pretty versatile and matches lots of different outfits and other color combinations. It looks like any regular ol' vest you'd see out in the world, you would never know that the best has all these great hidden features of compression and weight added in to it! The front of the vest has a nice smooth soft and almost silky feel to it that tactically is very pleasing. I feel like for the listed cost this vest really goes above and beyond! A good value both because its stylish and because it offers all the things that give some comfort, calm and confidence when needed!
