I've been wanting a weighted vest and this one is actually nice. I like the design and it is a good fit for a woman. I got one that was too heavy for me though so I should have gotten the 8 pound. I got the 12 and think it is going to take me quite a while to get up to the point where I can use it on the regular. The vest doesn't have any holes and looks durable. I don't think it would leak and do hope something is holding the sand in there. There is an odor that I could easily smell. I do not know if that is going to get on my clothes. I am sensitive to smells so keep that in mind. The weight of 12 pounds is accurate (and heavy). It is easy to put on and to snap the clip. The clip looks sturdy enough. Read more

This is my third weighted vest. My first one was 8 pounds, and my second one was 60 pounds. I use these vests for different types of exercises, and I wanted something that was a little heavier than the 8-pound vest to wear while doing household chores. While I might jog in the 8-pound vest and do squats in the 60-pound vest, this 12-pound vest is perfect for doing household activities that frequently require me to kneel down or walk up and down the stairs. It adds just a little bit of extra weight resistance to daily tasks to help push my metabolic demand up during otherwise mundane activities. Despite being the correct weight for the task, I am not a huge fan of this specific vest because the straps wrap so tightly around my chest and you cannot adjust them. This causes my arms to be unable to sit flush against the sides of my body, and I am constantly aware that I am wearing this vest. This is not because of the weight, but because I can feel it rubbing against my arms. It works for the purpose for which I wanted to use it, but if I come across a different weight vest in the 12-to-16-pound range, I am likely going to replace this one. Also, I am never going to use the included phone holder. It did not sit well on my arm, it feels awkward to have on the vest, and my girlfriend said I look like a dork. Read more
