This vest is a great tool for anyone looking to add some intensity to their daily walks or rucking sessions without the bulk of a full backpack. The neoprene material feels soft and flexible against the body, which helps prevent the kind of chafing that can happen with more rigid tactical vests. The weight is evenly distributed using iron sand, so it doesn't feel lopsided, and the padded shoulder straps do a good job of cushioning the load so it doesn't dig in during longer workouts. The zipper front design is much more convenient than pull-over styles, making it easy to get on and off even when you are tired. It also features reflective strips on both the front and back, which is a vital safety addition if you are out during the early morning or evening hours. The inclusion of a storage pocket for a phone or keys is a practical touch that lets you keep your hands free while you are moving. Overall, it is a versatile piece of equipment that works just as well for strength training as it does for cardio. It fits snugly enough to minimize shifting while running, but remains breathable enough that you won't feel like you are overheating. If you want a straightforward, comfortable way to increase your calorie burn and build endurance, this vest is a very reliable and well-designed option. Read more
I don't know if it's the weight or the configuration of the vest, but I feel like the shoulder straps are too close together so it's basically sitting on my neck instead of my shoulders. Having the back side of the strap portion weighted seems like a poor design and adds to the discomfort. It looks like only one of the straps is this way and that side is far more uncomfortable. I wanted this for going on walks with my kids but just sitting with it on is very uncomfortable and my neck is burning. I'm a fairly small chested woman and this works fine on me, but idk that it would be as nice on more endowed chest. Its nice that it can be adjusted on the sides to make this as tight or loose as needed, but the chest buckle seems unnecessary (but mine is tightened all the way and still loose, so it would probably be different on a wider frame). I like the pockets on the front door holding a phone. It feels like it will be durable in the long run and feels like a quality item. It's just uncomfortable to wear due to the shoulder straps. Excellent rucking vest! I've used a few different vests before that worked, but were too bulky or didn't fit quite right. This is the first one I've used that had this circular locking system, so it contours to me specifically and fits like a glove. It's built well and includes extra pockets and straps to keep everything tight and fit. I like to put my phone in the left pocket and run the headphones cable through the straps so it isn't bouncing around as much. It does come with a phone holder armband, but I've never liked things on my arms while moving. Though I don't run at night, the reflective material all over would be a welcome addition for someone who does. I also don't use the chest strap, but if you did it has a material flap to prevent the buckle from making skin contact. Nice touch. I particularly like that this doesn't add a ton of extra bulk due to the iron sand. In the fall and winter, it's easy to throw this on under a hoodie or a jacket and just wear it while running errands. You could put a few extra pounds in the pockets as well, though likely the front ones (I wouldn't trust the black mesh to hold substantial weight). The listing states it goes up to 30lbs, but I don't currently see that available. If you were rucking though, you really only want to use 10-15% of your weight, so ther weights provided here will work for most. Read more
I wanted to be able to give this weighted vest a 5 but it’s got a weird construction issue that I can’t get past. The weighted part that touches the back of my upper shoulders digs in and is painful. I tried making adjustments for a more comfortable fit but just couldn’t get there. I also had my daughter try it on and without promoting, she had the same complaint. We also thought that it would work better for a man than a woman because the weights in the front are mid chest level. What we DO like: the front pockets so you could add more weight or store your phone or keys. The overall quality of construction is good. Overall impression - would work well for a man or woman who has a small chest. Read more
This vest is well made and fits snugly against the chest, which is crucial for avoiding bounce during movement. The zipper front makes it easy to put on, and once zipped, it stays in place even during dynamic workouts. The materials feel durable and breathable enough for extended sessions. The added weight — in my case, 12 pounds — definitely shifts your center of gravity upward. You feel it immediately, especially during walks, squats, or other bodyweight exercises. It’s effective, but it also means you need to be mindful of your posture to avoid stressing your back or neck. A bit of adjustment and core awareness go a long way. A standout feature is the reflective detailing on the vest. It adds a layer of visibility and safety for early morning or evening walks or runs — a thoughtful touch often missing in fitness gear like this. The built-in pockets, including an arm pouch and a mesh back pocket, are also convenient for holding keys, a phone, or sunglasses. Overall, this is a well-designed weighted vest with real functional benefits. Whether you’re training hard or just adding resistance to daily movement, it delivers comfort, security, and even a bit of peace of mind with its visibility in low light. Read more
