Sturdy, comfortable, and attractive. For whatever reason, a substantial weight loss resulted in my pants no longer staying up. Switching from 38” to 36 to 34 - the latter much smaller than my actual waist - had no effect, so, tired of having to constantly pull my pants up - blue jeans are peculiarly guilty of sliding down, so I thought I’d try suspenders. I almost bought a pair that’s half the price of these, but most of the reviews seemed to mention them as wedding day garb, and I wanted something I could wear, and would last during every day use. These do that, and are worth the price. I did dye them darker, using Fiebing’s medium brown leather dye, but that's just a personal taste; they’re perfectly acceptable as is. Highly recommended. Sturdy but sadly the finish doesn’t last and the edges aren’t finished/“burnished”. Face finish appears to be painted on and chipping/flaking off. Worn for less than a week and they look like this :( On the pros, it’s a solid 1/8” of real leather. Pant loops will probably fail before the suspenders do. Might be fine for work suspenders but the durability of the finish means that’s about all they’re good for now, sadly. Read more
