Works well for low abrasion locations like across the step of a step stool but sticky isnt that sticky to be able to cut into small pieces for high abrasion uses. We recently had a water filter installed and the cartridges that hold the removable filters are very slick on the outside. We were told to be careful when changing the filters because they could easily get dropped and break off the end pieces. I don't know why these weren't made with some kind of texture imprinted on the plastic for gripping. Be that as it may, buying this grip tape was the solution.
