Beautiful and well made.
Yes it’s made in China (according to the box), but don’t be fooled, it’s flawless and beautiful. It arrived safely well-packed and I imagine it would survive a fairly rough transit. While many of the colored ones looked cool, I got the white one - UPC 609792026351 - because I wanted to get maximum light from it. I’d recommend getting a 75 watt A19 bulb if you want to fill a room with light. Assembly basically consists of screwing a few metal posts together, making sure the cord is pulled through, and then attaching the shade. Just follow the simple instructions and you can’t go wrong. Yeah it’s pricey, but for once you’ll actually get your money’s worth — in my most humble opinion. It’s worked flawlessly for two months. I’ll update this if any issues arise over the US winter. I only have one minor caveat: Depending on how far away you place the lamp from your favorite chair and how low you sit, this type of shade will leave the bulbs partially exposed — if that’s something that would bug you. Mine is across the room so it’s not an issue for me personally, but just FYI. Naturally you’ll have to judge for yourself if the cost is too much or not, so I’ll just say if you do grab one, I dare say you’ll be happy to own it. To sum up: If you don’t have 80 grand or more to blow on an original Tiffany lamp, this is a helluva substitute, all things considered. Read more
