Grey market HDD; so far so good, in SATA/USB3 enclosure

Replaced a failed Toshiba 1TB HDD I used for backing up my server and HTPC. Works as expected, fast enough for backup. Durability TBD, but considering this won't be powered 99% of the time, I really expect these to work forever. A standard my Toshiba did not live up to. Docking a star because unlike the Toshiba HDD, this WD does NOT support S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics. Buyers should also understand that these are grey market drives, only warranted by the seller Worldwide Product Importer LLC. Read more
