I’ve had my bag for over 15 years and it’s been used hundreds of times. When my son borrowed it last spring he damaged the zipper. I sent it into Western for repair. They replaced the zipper at no charge and shipped it back good as new! This bag is the lightest bag I own but with a pair of thermal underwear and a hat you can use it down to 20 degrees and lower without any concern. Durable, compact, light and warm. An investment worth making. Read more

I spent a lot of time researching bags before I bought this. I needed a bag I could use in early summer in the Rockies that was lightweight and durable. So far so good! If you take a stuff sack that can compress it you can get it down to something the size of a cantaloupe and it will definitely keep you warm down to about 20 degrees. Highly recommend bags from WM, I have several more and plan on buying another as soon as I can afford to cry a little when the charge hits my card Read more

I bought this bag 15 years ago and use it almost daily. This bag is phenomenal. The only negative is the price, but like the old adage goes: You get what you pay for! Don't let the price sway you to a different more inferior bag. This bag on Amazon is almost $200 more than what I paid for it 15 years ago, so this is definitely an investment. I've used this bag in below 20 degree weather and it's still super warm and cozy without any drafts cutting through. At first I wasn't nuts about the mummy style, but when it's cold outside it is so worth the tighter fit. Being 6 foot tall I opted for the 6'6" option. That extra 6" is definitely handy because I hate feeling my feet being squeezed. I even use my bag in my house if it's colder than usual outside. I love that it's American made, and Western Mountaineering will refill your bag with down if needed. I'm about to have them do that to this bag. I love how lightweight this bag is. That was my main motive for buying this in the first place. I've gone on several extended backcountry backpack trips, and every ounce counts. If you spill something on your bag, the shell wicks the liquid off immediately and it's easy to wipe clean. I rarely keep it stuffed in its packing pouch unless I'm packing it. I immediately put it in the big bag that comes with it to keep it from being compressed. I hope this review helps someone make the choice to buy a Western Mountaineering bag. They are truly top notch and I don't regret the investment I made 15 years ago. If you take care of it, it will take care of you. Jesus is King! Read more
