I have a chronic medical condition that requires me to have not only my required daily dose but extra "just in case" supply of meds. I didn't want to keep pill bottles as they draw unwanted attention even though nothing I have is addictive or narcotic. The standard bottles are also rather large for the few extra pills that I need. These little containers are perfect! They can hold about 10-15 small pills or 3-4 large ones (like antibiotics). The aluminum construction is sturdy and strong. The o-ring on the screw cap makes it water resistant and the different colors means I can easily identify my meds without advertising what it is. I use this in conjunction with the Vertx Standard Mak Band (4 loops with Velcro backing) to hold them in place in my sling bag. Love these little pill boxes! They are small, water tight (not sure if they are water proof) and strong. Since I need to take medicine throughout the day,I wanted something small and strong to put in my pocket and prevent the pills from getting crushed. The multi colors makes it easy to separate if you have a need for multiple medicines. My wife uses a few of these to carry around basic medicines for headache or joint pain. They don't take up much room and because they are aluminum, they are pretty strong and crush resistant. They also have a little key ring on them if you want to clip it to something in your purse, laptop bag or key chain. I would caution you however if you do this to make sure that the lid is screwed down well, I have not been careful about that a few times when I was in a hurry and the lid came off in my pocket. Seal is tight and I don’t worry about my pills getting crushed. I had a plastic screw top container I was using before when traveling for my medications - sadly moisture got in and mold was all over my pills. I got these instead and they work so much better! Read more
