Pros: This product looks and feel great. Assembly is very easy and you adjust it to what you want. After I was done putting it together, it felt pretty strong and sturdy. It's not too heavy, but you'll need two people to lift it because of how long it is. The box that that it came in I say it ways about 60-70 lbs. It's not light but it's also not heavy. Overall I was happy with the product. Cons: I have two issues this product. 1. The threading on some of the pole are pretty bad. I had to use extra elbow grease to really tighten them. 2. One of the pole that had the connector that was tighten so hard that I cant remove it to readjust it as it's crooked and the pole is tilted. I called customer service and the automated response stated that they are no longer sending in replacement part and we will have to return the product for a refund. I'm keeping the product as I will not be taking it apart just to return it for a refund. Read more

This was a great product that I've used for many of my clothes, and also storage in my room at college this year! I like the space, and the assembly was easy enough for my girlfriend and I to set up. I liked that it was a great way to store not only clothes by hanging it up, but also storage underneath and up top. I like the adjustability of the height as well. One thing I found difficult though was figuring out how to snap the clips on for the racks to rest on. Read more

I recently moved to Germany, where houses have no closets, and have been searching for solutions that won't break the bank since this assignment will only last 2-3 years. I've been through several garment racks which were incredibly flimsy and tipped or wobbled threateningly once they had more than about 7 items on them. Fearing I was going to have to invest a ton of money, I tried this item as a last resort before moving on to items that were several hundred dollars and far more than I wanted to invest for something I'll only need for a few years. One of the failed products I purchased was a Whitmore item, so I had low hopes for this, but it was worth a try, especially because the double rods meant I could hang twice as many items in my limited space. I put it together tonight (easy, intuitive assembly that required no tools and about 15 minutes), filled both levels plus the shelf on top with items, and was delighted to find that it easily handled the weight. This thing is solid and is not going anywhere. I put shirts on it and did find that the bottom shelf isn't really usable as the shirts hang low enough that they skim the top of the shelf so anything on that shelf would be obscured and the shirts wouldn't hang straight. However, the placement of the shelves and the middle rod holders are adjustable, so if one had some shorter items, one could move the middle bar up a bit to try to clear shelf space. However, since I bought this as a hanging rack, I don't care at all about the shelf on the bottom. I note this just in case anyone is really looking for 2 hanging rods plus a shelf on the top and the bottom: you might be able to adjust the height of everything to make it work, but only if at least one row of your clothes are pretty short. It does seem to work in the photo of the item. I will note that because this is permanent storage for me, I didn't bother installing the wheels so I can't speak to their quality or how their installation affects the balance or stability of the unit. I am pleased enough with this item that I will be ordering a second (and possibly third if I decide to cut my losses on one of the awful, cheap items I've already purchased). It is a shame this product is for sale and I can't understand how somebody would give it 5, 4 or 3 stars. It is not easy to assemble and it doesn't stand on its own. The metallic tubes are the only OK part of this rack. The problem is they have grooves where plastic sleeves are supposed to grip and hold the hanging tube and the lower and top shelves. All the weight of clothes is to be supported by plastic sleeves. These plastic sleeves simply don't hold on the grooves. Also, there are grooves all over, making it very difficult to align the sleeves on the four sides at the same height. Why not make holes and use screws, that would make it sturdy. The only way to make it stand still was to put it against a wall corner and use bungee cords to prevent the structure from leaning to one side or another and crumbling. Horrible product. I'm very frustrated with Whitmor which I chose for being an American company for so many decades in business. Shame on Whitmor for wasting materials and our money in such a bad product.
