A mixed blessing...

Pro: These pants are well made, true to size, and a good length for a shorter woman (at 5'3", they hit the top of my foot). Neutral: They're a very light weight nylon-ish fabric, sort of slinky and shiny; I think it's some sort of polyester but the listing is vague. There's nothing wrong with this; I just was not expecting it. They're a bit wrinkled from being vacuum-packaged but since I'm not sure how well they'd survive being ironed I'm hoping the wrinkles shake out after they've been worn. Con: The elastic in the waistband isn't secured and tends to roll inside the fabric. Also, keep in mind that if you're a larger size, the cut is NOT flattering. But they ARE comfortable, so there's that. Read more

Comfort, Style, and a Dash of Campus Cool

I was happy to find these wide-leg slacks for my daughter — they strike that perfect balance between comfortable and trendy. The elastic waistband makes them easy to wear all day, and the black fabric, while slightly stiff at first, hangs beautifully once on. The front creases add just the right touch of polish and give a flattering length to the leg, especially nice for ladies with a shorter frame. Though listed as business slacks, my daughter prefers them as casual campus wear. She pairs them with oversized sweaters, graphic tees, or a favorite school hoodie for an effortlessly stylish look. They’re versatile enough to go from class to coffee shop to dinner without missing a beat. The three pockets are a nice bonus — two in front for hands, phone, or keys, and one in back for the random things collected during the day: flyers, receipts, or maybe a phone number or two. (A friendly reminder to check that back pocket before laundry day — these slacks’ “junk drawer” can hide surprises!) The wide-leg cut gives them a lovely movement and a graceful swish with every step. They’re chic, comfortable, and make a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves easy style with a hint of personality. Highly Recommend: 5/5. Read more

Looked great online, but disappointed in reality

I really wanted to love these wide-leg pants – the plaid waistband detail looked so cute in the photos and I was excited about the versatile styling options. Unfortunately, they just didn't work out for me. First off, the fabric quality was pretty disappointing. They felt much thinner and cheaper than I expected, almost like pajama material rather than something I'd wear out of the house. The "softer" fabric they advertise just felt flimsy to me. The fit was also really off. I ordered my usual size medium, but the waistband was weirdly tight while the legs were absolutely massive – like swimming in fabric. The "wide leg" silhouette was more like "tent leg" on me, and not in a flattering way. The front pleats that were supposed to be elongating just made me look wider. The plaid waistband, which was the main reason I bought them, looked cheap in person and started pilling after just one wash. The elastic also lost its stretch pretty quickly, so they became saggy and uncomfortable. And don't get me started on the wrinkles! They arrived vacuum-packed (which should have been my first red flag) and were so wrinkled I had to iron them twice just to make them presentable. Even then, they looked rumpled again after sitting for an hour. For the price point, I expected much better quality. Ended up returning them and going with a different brand. Read more
