These are really quite gorgeous lamps. The ceramic work is exquisite and the off white paint is wonderful. I also love the antique brass accents of the lamps. There are a few issues that give me pause: 1. The lamps are smaller than I expected. In the images they appear much larger, but the listing does not indicate an actual height or any measurements. I kind of expected they would be much smaller than I was expecting... and they are just slightly too small for my original intent. 2. The lamp shades came disassembled. I have never in my life received a lamp shade like this. I understand the reason -- it's far easier to ship this way... but there is a trade off for this. When you "assemble" the lamp shades, you will see a seam where the shade material velcros together. This can be hidden by turning the lamp shade in many cases, but would be visible if the lamp is going to be viewed from all angles. Overall, it's a nice set, but the listing should make these two issues clear to buyers. Even with these issues, $90 for two lamps of this quality is a great deal! Read more

These lamps warm up any space! Very modern with a mid century contemporary feel. They are fairly neutral with earth toned and gold details. The accents are subtle, so it can remain a minimal piece, but still interesting and adding to the design. They are hollow, but otherwise feel like stone and provide good height. For one of the lamps, the gold bottom was not flush with the rest of the stone base when I received it, but this is hardly noticeable. The lamp shades also have to be assembled, but this was very easy. It does make the lampshade seam slightly more noticeable, but we turned this towards the wall anyway.
