This is not a costume looking hat. Love the look, fabric and fit. It came boxed perfect so no dents or anything. I have an average sized head and am female. The rim sits like I wanted; the brim covers part of my forehead and do not need the chin strap to hold it in place; but I'm glad it has one so I can push the hat off to carry on my back for easy on and off. I ordered this thinking it would be a cheaper alternative to the real deal. The pictures on the site look great and match the hat you receive. I have a 22" head and the hat was a bit loose. I like the look, the material, and the price. The one thing I did not like was the creaking noise the brim makes if you touch it. It feels and sounds like a stiff plastic form is in there and if you touch the brim it will creak, even a light touch. This is a nice looking hat for a costume, but don't embarrass yourself by thinking your hat will not creak in public. Read more
