Fun to use over an actual lighter
This thing is pretty cool. Works as expected. I've been able to light paper, cardboard, wood without issue. Small/short, maybe a foot long. Awesome to just be able to recharge and keep using. Read more

This is so cool! Much more dependable for lighting my gas turkey fryer especially if it's a little windy outside. My lovely wife is using it to light candles, too. Read more
It is a relief to finally have a grill lighter that lights every time, doesn't require liquid fuel, and reliably works in the wind. Our grill is in an open area where the wind blows most of the time, and lighting paper scraps in the bottom of our charcoal chimney with lighters that blow out easily has been a constant source of frustration. There are a couple of minor downsides. First, this lighter includes a short charging cable in the box, but the cable has male USB-A on one end and male micro USB on the other. The charge port on the lighter itself is female micro USB. USB-A is quickly disappearing, but micro USB is a very old connection standard that has pretty much vanished from new products. So unless you have plenty of old micro USB charging cables stuffed in nearby drawers, you'll need to keep track of the one that comes with the lighter. And the best way to do that is to keep both it and the lighter in the slim box they came in. The second questionable design choice is the "child safety lock." This is just a small plastic switch that easily slides between "off" and "on." Any child who handles the lighter will quickly discover this slider and instinctively know how to operate it, as it doesn't take much pressure to change positions. Once in the "on" position, pressing the small starter button just above it will ignite the lighter. In fact, it's easy to just leave the so-called safety lock in the "on" position all the time, so all that is needed is to press the ignition button. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's definitely not a child safety lock. Read more
We have an older stove, restaurant quality, so not in a hurry to get rid of it but the electric lighters finally stopped functioning. We light the burners with little Bic-type lighters or butane pistols. Tiresome and continually wearing out. Enter this device. Easy, faultless, always functions. Lights burners, candles, bbq stoves, name it. When it starts to power down, check the LED spread and recharge w the USB for 10-15 mins to get it back to full strength. Only had it for months but it sure acts like it’s going to be good for years. We’ll see. Read more

One of the burners on our stove has a faulty igniter (I know, I know, I'll fix it tomorrow). We used to buy butane stick lighters from the big box store and throw them away after they ran out of fuel. It felt incredibly wasteful, so I did some research and found this little guy. First off, it's faster and more effective at lighting the gas burner than the old butane ones ever were. It's rechargeable, so no more throwing away lighters or fumbling around with butane trying to refill them. It's economical, since the amount of electricity it takes to recharge this thing costs pennies. And, perhaps most importantly, it's really fun to use. I love seeing and hearing that plasma arc ignite at the end. It also works for lighting candles, etc., though it takes a little bit of practice to learn how to use it effectively. 5/5 - Would definitely recommend Read more

I was attracted to the "no-flame", no need to refill with fuel, and how this is supposed to work in the wind. I use it for grill lighting. But my results have been uneven. Sometimes it works great and others - not so well. I still have hopes that I'll get better at operating this thing for the idea of it still is appealing. Read more
This item was absolutely terrible. It’s cheaply made, I charged it for over five hours, and it never even came on. I literally tried everything, YouTube videos- you name it. This item is cheap and it was a total waste of my time and energy. Read more
