Unfortunately, this balaclava fell short of my expectations. The one-size-fits-all claim doesn't hold up; it's too big for me, leaving plenty of gaps for the wind to sneak through, defeating the purpose of keeping warm. I have tested this over the winter. I sweat a lot normally and this makes me sweat more. it does keep the heat in, I do stay warm. The bigger problem for me, is my eyesight. With poor vision, I need corrective lenses and my breath comes up and out the eye opening and fogs up my glasses to the point I cannot see. the only way for me to use this is rolled up as a hat, and I may as well just wear a hat. I am sorry, but this product is not for me. Maybe someone in better shape with better vision, but I have to wear a hat and scarf so my nose and mouth are completely open. Read more

I find that this balaclava has a good set of features for winter cycling. The fleece fabric over the majority is soft and thick, providing plenty of warmth for winter rides while the breathable face material allows breathing through the mouth or nose without fogging up my glasses when moving. When stopped, I can pull the face mask down to expose my nose. While there are no slots for the stems of my glasses, but I've found that I can wear them on the outside of the mask and they'll still stay on. The length of the neck portion extends well into my jacket providing a good seal. I have 2 minor criticisms, however. First, the shape of the eye opening leaves a sizeable portion of my face exposed behind my eyes. I would have preferred a smaller eye opening. Second, the size of the mask is a bit larger than others I've tried. This translates to an advantage if you have a large-sized head. I can breathe easily through the nose and mouth cover part. The rest of it is warm but not so warm that it would be uncomfortable if you're active in the cold weather. My only concern is if you pull the mouth part under the chin too many times it seems like it would get stretched out easily and not stay close to the face. Read more

I give it five stars because it does it's job. However, it's way too big for me. I'm going to have to go back to childrens sizes, because this adult size isn't suitable for me despite the fact that I'm an adult haha Read more
