A very flattering forever piece to elevate your wardrobe

Owning the right jacket, one that is appropriate to the occasion and well designed, not only pulls a look together perfectly, but also provides the icing on the cake. A classic trench coat is one piece I have always wanted, but never owned until receiving this. Overall, this is a gorgeous coat. It’s a forever piece that has only enhanced my wardrobe in all the best ways. It took longer than expected to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Rather than being shipped in a box or shipping envelope, the shipping label was slapped onto the top of the clear plastic bag it was sealed into right after being assembled. That thin layer of plastic served as the only layer between the coat and anyone who handed it. Luckily, with exception to one relatively small, narrow cut, it stayed intact. However, it had been raining quite heavily on the day it was delivered, and the fabric was a bit dirty from just that small opening. Nothing did any permanent damage, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Hopefully this coat will not continue to be shipped in that way. Once I overcome my disbelief and unhappiness with regard to the manner of shipping, I was delighted to receive this. The fabric has a really lovely feel to it. It’s thick and coated to repel liquids while also being an effective barrier against the elements. I ordered a large, which is my normal size, and chose the light khaki color. The light khaki was exactly what I wanted, and more of a traditional medium beige color. The fit was as expected. The sleeves were plenty long and also wide enough, allowing for a full range of movement. There was enough width to accommodate any clothing worn underneath; I wore a suit jacket one day and a thick sweater another without issue. The design and assembly of it was well done; all the seams aligned properly and each area of the coat hit exactly where it was supposed to. In terms of style and aesthetics, this trench coat is an overachiever. The silhouette is similar to that of a swing coat; it’s more fitted at top, taking on a looser “A” shape as it moves down to the bottom. The neckline is rounded and fitted. Dark buttons, with the appearance of stone, line both the front and the back of the coat. In the back, the fabric is folded evenly running the entire length of the coat, buttons secure the fold. In addition to being used as a visible design element, they can be unbuttoned. Each of these details work in absolute harmony with one another, making this trench coat truly unique. However, the detail giving this design an exclamation point is definitely the lining. It contains a simple plaid pattern, maintaining a neutral color palette that consists of a bright white, rich brown, and a gray toned navy blue. The details are what really sets this coat apart and makes it something special. The printed lining, besides being added to the interior of the coat, also covers the fabric in the front where the buttons are placed as well as on the swath of fabric hiding them. It’s a lovely and thoughtful touch, which shows a great attention to detail. Lastly, pockets flank each side of the coat. Both offer a generous amount of space; and because they have been added at a slight angle, using either at any time feels natural and comfortable. Considering the cost of this trench coat, it goes so far beyond what I would expect at that price point. The amount of thought given to the design is not at all typical on most other pieces at this range. The fabric feels fantastic; it’s unimaginably soft while also being thick enough to provide protection during brisk weather and rain. Generally, it has also been assembled well. The biggest issue I found was with pattern mismatch at every seam. A couple of the pieces that formed the back vent were too tightly stitched and slightly uneven, but not to an extent inhibiting the coat’s appearance. Nothing was bad enough to be a dealbreaker, or potentially cause problems down the line, affecting the coat’s lifespan. This is something I would not hesitate to buy. While still having a classic design, the coat’s silhouette, combined with each well placed and thoughtful detail, elevates this trench coat beyond being overly traditional. When worn, it is incredibly sophisticated and feminine. It’s one of those rare pieces that is not only visually beautiful, well executed, and made using quality materials- it’s highly affordable. I would definitely recommend getting this hidden gem while it’s still available; you won’t regret it! Read more

Beautiful

This long black single breasted trench coat is a timeless and elegant addition to my wardrobe. The fit is flattering without feeling restrictive, and the length adds a polished, sophisticated look that works well for both casual and dressier outfits. The material feels well made and substantial, offering good coverage and warmth on cooler days without being too heavy. The single breasted design gives it a clean, classic silhouette, and the black color pairs effortlessly with anything. It looks great worn open or buttoned up, and it instantly elevates any outfit. Overall, it’s a versatile, stylish coat that feels both practical and refined. Read more

Row of buttons down back — odd design

Quality was fine for this price point. HOWEVER, the listing photo do not make it obvious what an ODD WEIRD back this coat has. I like a classic cut with a thoughtful unusual detail thrown in —- but a coat with a full row of functional buttons up the spine is not cute. And because it’s a functional long opening ON THE BACK held together by buttons, you might get a draft & it won’t necessarily keep elements out. Also .. I didn’t keep it, but maybe sitting on buttons would be uncomfortable? LOOK at other customer reviews to see accurate photos of this back-is-front & front-looks-like back .. I returned it. Read more

Great raincoat

It’s just the right weight for a raincoat, the fabric feels like it would be somewhat water resistant. I’m 5’2” 105lbs. and while it’s oversized enough to be comfortable over a suit jacket or heavy sweater it doesn’t feel too big. Read more
