I’m not going to complain too much considering I got these for $4.99. These fall into the better than nothing category. It’s currently 26° (F) with a wind chill of 18° and I just gave these their first try. The cold immediately began to seep through the thin fleece. It wasn’t unbearable, but I have other masks that work leaps and bounds above these. If you’re being active (running, hiking, cutting firewood, etc), or looking for a base layer, these might work well. If you’re not working up a sweat, you would be better served with a higher GSM fleece. Read more

These fleece balaclava are warm and soft to the touch. I got them for doing chores around the house in low altitude mountain areas that get very cold in the winter. They keep my face, ears, and neck warm in the cold which is the whole reason I wanted them. It's easy to breathe through the fabric too. I do wish they were a little more form-fitting, but the simple design keeps them affordable. If you're going to do snow sports, get something more specialized, otherwise they're great for staying warm. Read more

Who ever imagined that one could become old enough in life that head and neck warmth was a requirement? Well here I am. 68 years on the scale and when I’m out hiking, it’s my head and neck that are freezing. Although it’s only fall, I did pop this onto my head and wear it around the house. It feels wonderful. The fabric’s really soft and I didn’t notice a lot of condensation from breathing. This will do the trick to keep warm on those winter hikes. Nice quality construction and fabric.
