Wireless HDMI Upgrade Transmitter and 2 Receivers Plug and Play Multiple Tvs 5 8G 2 4G 1080P 60Hz

The media could not be loaded. Here are my thoughts on this wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver package from Darlyor. As advertised, this little setup is meant wirelessly connect just about any transmitting unit (like a cable/set top box or a laptop) to a receiver (an HDMI capable TV, monitor, display). Really, many options as far as sending/receiving devices. It says it supports 5.8g/2.4g 1080P @ 60 hertz and up to 165 feet away. It also says it's "plug and play". Sounds good, but does it work? Yes! It works very well actually. So in my kit there was just one sending and one receiving "pucks". I'll call them pucks because that's what they look like. Small round pucks with a nice little 5 inch antenna on them. They also have a USB-C port for power. This is needed when the sending unit doesn't have a enough power to supply out of the HDMI port. I found some things worked ok, like my cable box. Others did not, like my laptop. So I just used the power to supply the puck as needed. The pucks are cool looking, sleek. They have a nice little RX/TX indicator on them so you can't mess it up. They also sort of glow with the light ring. The ring provides some quick visual status to things working, or not. Also, regarding pucks, it's important to know that you can do a many-to-one configuration where you have more than one RX unit going to a TX unit. That could be very convenient. Lastly the pucks are small and easy to hide behind a TV with some double-sided tape if needed. Onto setup - it says plug and play. Guess what? I plugged one into the laptop, the other the TV. Once setting the right TV input, it basically just found the other one and started working without any intervention on my behalf. But also know that there are configuration instructions online, and a manual in the box. Plus some videos out there too. Nobody should have any real issued getting this running. It was a breeze. Once all setup and working you are basically set. I was able to control the volume (through HDMI) that is also being transmitted between devices. As far as streaming quality, I noticed very little lag or buffering effects. It was pretty seamless. Maybe if you're playing video game multiplayer sessions you'd see something? But for videos and TV play, it was darn good. Other notes - included in the box are some mini HDMI adapters and HDMI cables, and some short but sturdy USB-C to USB-C cables. No power brick, so you'd need to supply your own if needed. So, there you have it. It works great. I was tickled. It really solved a problem I had with a Cable set top box and wall cable (coax) placement I had. I like the compact design of this transmitter/receiver. It was basically just plug-n-play in terms of setup. Once powered on and plugged in to the device and display, it connected in a few seconds. The instructions mention it's more reliable to plug in the UBS power to a wall outlet, rather than rely on the power coming from a display's USB port and I did see this on one TV. The signal seemed to drop and reconnect until I used a wall plug for the receiver's USB power, then the problem went away. I imagine this limitation will vary based on the device used as another TV I tried it on seemed to work fine powered from the TV's USB port. My PC USB port for the transmitter also seemed to work just fine. There is a limit of 1080p on these devices, which is more than adequate. Even when displaying images on a 4K TV, it still looked great with no noticeable visual artifacts. Videos played well with their audio in sync. I also tried using Steam Big Picture mode with an XBox controller from my PC from the 2nd floor displaying on a TV on the 1st floor of my home and was impressed with the experience. Even when looking for it I couldn't notice any lag let alone any significant enough to take away from the gameplay experience; it really felt like the source was plugged into the TV form that same room. Platformer and action games played great. I'm very impressed with this wireless HDMI setup and while I haven't pushed it to the limit of its range, I'm sure it'll work great for wirelessly displaying across anywhere in my house.
