I’m a huge fan of Wolfbox dash cams. I’ve used other brands in the past and bought Wolfbox for the first time due to the over the mirror install style. Since then I’ve put one in every car that I own. The video is always as good or better than that of other dash cams from competitors, and the price is always very competitive. I recently tried a competitors brand that was highly recommended on a 3rd party site, and it worked, but had a lot of quirky performance like randomly taking pictures without hitting a button to request it to do so. Also, there was no bumps or vibrations which may have been interpreted as an impact. I’ve not seen that behavior with my Wolfbox cameras. The one time I did have an issue, I reached out to customer service and they immediately rectified the issue. I’d been searching for the one special dash cam that has all the features I wanted. I made charts, and studied many different dash cams. This Wolfbox 5k, on sale for $189.00, regular, $249.99., was the first one I found that had every single feature I was looking for. Touch screen was very important to me, as well as, in order, loop recording, parking feature, night vision, WIFI, reliable, g sensor, voice control, 360° view, no blind spots, audio recording, comes with SD card, one year warranty, it’s controlled through an app, and it was 4 1/2 stars, with many good reviews, but some bad ones made me think. But overall, I knew that Wolfbox X5 is a known brand, with a decent reputation. It was an easy choice. However, I have yet to set up, I’ll be going to Best Buy, to have it installed, and I believe they charge around $100.- for both front and rear. This set also comes with an interior camera, but I do not want to hook that up. They saw it’s moderately difficult to install, so I’m going with the pros. Stopped working after 4 months. Rear camera stopped showing up at first, so only inside and front cameras were recording. Now today the camera freezes when it is on for more than a few minutes and it stops recording. What a bad product! First let me start by explaining the precarious situation this has put me in and the circumstances of my disappointment. I work from home, therefore the use of my vehicle is limited in range and hours used. The max usage prior to any issues would be a maximum 48hrs since the purchase date of usage prior to 11/19/25. I take frequent trips into Mexico and depend on a dashcam for security. I upgraded from a front and rear camera and decided on this dashcam to cover the interior. The dashcam has served as a great tool in preventing any type of extortion, abuse and mistreatment from Mexican officials, thus I wanted one to record the interior view, as we've experienced officials trying to go through our personal items, knowing the dashcam was only front and rear. These trips can vary in length, but average time on the road will be 10-12hr drives, with minimum 5 checkpoints. Much to my dismay, on my trip into the country, the rear camera quit working. Once we reached our destination, I checked all the connections, tried different connector/power source, reformatted the sd card, and even did a factor reset. Nothing, the rear camera simply quit working. At least I still had the interior and front cameras working. On the return trip, Wednesday 11/26, I noticed after being on the road for 4hrs, the camera was freezing up. I had to unplug it to restart. The only thing I can fathom is that these cameras are not for extended trips. I am really upset that I passed 2 checkpoints without any type or security from the camera because it was frozen. Luckily, we were not pulled over and inspected. After restarting the camera, it keeps freezing every 10-20min. I have to continually unplug and restart the camera for it to work. I'm really disappointed that I thought I had done all my proper research and opted to "upgrade" my dashcam when it's been a total disaster. Not only did I miss some epic scenery, memorable family moments in the car but most importantly, the sense of security was gone. Read more

The value for money here is great with this dashcam. The video quality of all the cameras is great. It was easy to install, and has many useful features such as parked monitoring, gps, and WiFi for transferring video files. I can’t speak on the longevity of the product, but I haven’t had any problems in the Florida heat yet. Read more

Great "looking" Camera. Great picture quality. Great recording quality. Great recording options etc. Problem - the rear view camera - is strictly for inside use to the outside. It's USB-C - which is fine - does require a additional power tap ? - why - but - whatever. I already had another Wolfbox camera previously - which sadly - self destructed due to the Texas heat & also came with a rear view camera - which Didn't need a external power tap & was IPS86 water resistant - thus - I mounted it underneath the lip which Corvette C6's have - thus - semi protecting the camera from direct weather elements like rain / water splashes etc. I don't / can't drive the Corvette through a car wash - thus - don't have to worry about extreme water issues. Anyway - long story short - did NOT want to re-run the camera cable & fiddle / diddle trying to seal the USB-C connection to be even semi weather resistant - thus - this camera just didn't work out for me. Great video quality! Very clear and app works well enough. Install was very straight forward with the included plastic trim pry tool. Cons: adhesive is very weak and rear did not stick at all. Overheating issues with the front camera. It will not show display but is “on” and can hear beeps when touching the display. I have to just unplug and replug to get it to display properly. Read more
