Even when washed carefully, the knit lost some of its original softness and shape compared to how it looked and felt out of the package. I downsized from an XL to a medium and this cardigan still has room to spare. I like the style, especially the exaggerated sleeves. What I don't are the gold buttons that somehow look out of place on the casual and trendy cardigan. I feel like buttons matching the sweater color would make them blend in and let the style of the sweater take center stage. I ordered a size medium, I typically run between a medium and small and I was hoping for an oversized fit. The sweater fits oversized, but with not a ton of room. If you’re looking for an oversized look, I suggest you order on the larger side. Otherwise, the sweater has an adorable look and is perfect for fall and winter weather.
