Update: unfortunately after 1 wash the set is pilling and the material is rough. It did not last through one standard wash and dry cycle. I followed the directions on the tags and am very disappointed. Unfortunately I cannot return it because I already opened it and washed it. I love how warm this set keeps me during our visits to the snow. I put it under my waterproof pants and jacket and it kept me warm and not too hot. The material is soft, it's definitely not opaque and not meant to be worn alone. The feel of the material is high quality and going by the size chart worked great. Read more

The naterial appear to be a good quality. It kept me warm on hikes. I wear it as base layer and if I wear it alone I have longer shirt on top of it. I'm not sure why the negative review on washing. I wash the bottom on delicate cold watter cycle and air dry it laying flat on drying rack. No issue at all. It specifically said no dryer! the best part wearing this set while being active that it doesn't have to be wash often or at all. When sweat after hiking i lay it flat outside in shade and it dry it and it's clean without odor. wool is ani bacterial and has ability to remail fresh . I find it amazing ! As someone who hikes daily and doesn't have to worry about wearing it over and over. Overall I'm very happy with the comfort and non itchy material.
