I just received these in "red1" so I could put them with a stars and stripe bikini top and they are perfect! I have some skimpy red bikinis but I will be with family and older folks so I wanted something that weren't so skimpy, but I absolutely hate feeling like I'm in a diaper like the high rise ones can feel like. These are great! They cover the rear end pretty much fully, come up high enough on the leg so as not to look frumpy and hit in a bad spot on the hip and the waistline is low enough to not look too high but high enough to cover some bloating you may have. The roll down at the waist sort of helps camoflauge and pooch that maybe going on that day too but yet is flat enough to not add bulk. I typically wear a 4/27 in jeans and I went with the small and they fit great. Leg openings weren't too tight or too loose and the waistline didn't squeeze into skin.
