I know that fashion trends go in cycles, and these cords with their high waist, roomy shape through the hips, and beautifully tapered legs, are a perfect example of why styles that were once “out” are often re-discovered and make a comeback. (I wore this style in the mid-nineties and I love them now as much as I did then. Ok, I’m sounding kind of old here. 😉) The cut of these pants gives you a nicely defined waist because the top sits at the narrowest part of your shape, and the pleats extending down below the waistband give you just a bit of extra room through the hips and thighs for a fit that’s super comfy and flattering, especially if you weren’t blessed with a perfect figure. The corduroy fabric is velvety soft but has a sturdy weight to it, the kind of weight that I love in pants because it helps smooth you out and sleek you up. Corduroy is an easy-care fabric so no worries there — like denim, it’ll sometimes tighten up just a bit when laundered, but within a few minutes of being worn again the fit conforms to your shape and loosens back up. I followed the size chart measurements and found my perfect fit, if you reference the chart and go by the numeric measurements rather than the letter sizes, you’ll find YOUR perfect fit as well. The price is of these cords is ridiculously amazing … I would (and have) paid more than twice the price for pants of this quality, and when you factor in that the tapered legs can be worn with booties OR tucked into knee-highs, their versatility makes them one of those wardrobe staples that you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again. *** Because I rely so often on the reviews of others when I purchase on Amazon, I give my honest opinion about items such as this in the hope that you’ll find it helpful, too. These corduroy pants look really nice out of the package and appear to be well-made with reinforced seams, but they definitely have issues. First, they run very small as compared with typical US sizing, though the manufacturer's measurement chart is accurate. Worse, the manufacturer completely misrepresents the fiber content: the ad claims 97% cotton and 3% spandex, yet the fiber content tag states (in the Cyrillic alphabet) that the item is 65% cotton and 35% polyester. That's a pretty significant difference, and I would not have chosen these had I known about the polyester content. Also, the tag appears to indicate that the item cannot be tumble dried, which is unrealistic for casual trousers. Because of these concerns I cannot recommend these pants. Read more
These pants are actually a really nice quality, but they seem way off on size. I am 5'4" and 145 lb. I usually wear a size 12. I could barely pull these pants up and couldn't button them. I ordered a large and they were way too small. Read more
These cotton/spandex corduroy pants in size S fit true to size. They are a slim fit but have enough stretch to be comfortable. There are 2 nice pockets in front, and another 2 back pockets. The waist is high, fastens with a retro metal button, and has beltloops if you want to use a belt. The material feels good quality, thick, durable, and warm. The length is good and the straight leg style is flattering. These pants are casual, and would pair well with sweaters, jackets, and boots. They are warm enough for cool or cold weather, and can be worn to work, school, social events, or for daily activities. They are well made and a good value at the current price. Read more
