Odd fabric, stretch back, high crotch
Even if you’re short boy does the crotch area ride high. It is not comfortable and digs in. Not sure what model they used to size these but it’s not good. Also these are not going to cut it as dress pants with a tucked in shirt because they have a bunch stretch back. Also the fabric feels cheap and has a lined texture to it. Personally for all these reasons I’m not a fan. But who knows maybe they’ll fit you. Read more
They work for me
I guess this is a case of individual preference. For me, these are decent work pants. I used the size chart, which gave me the correct size to order (Large, even though I usually wear a medium). The size I got worked well for me, although I wouldn't call it roomy. It just fit. The back is elastic, which is not ideal for tucking in a shirt, but I prefer sweaters anyway. It is not as forgiving as most pants with elastic waistbands, so I wonder if that's half of the problem. The reason I'm fine with the polyester fabric is that it's easy-care, doesn't wrinkle, doesn't stain, is tough and durable, and generally looks sharp. It is clearly not a wool or cotton, so if you want those natural fibres, this is the wrong pair of pants for you. I'm 5'4", and the length is perfect for me, and goes all the way down to my ankles. Personally I think these are good pants, and if you want easy-care, reasonably comfortable pants in a a not-super-formal work setting (I'm a teacher), these are fine. Read more
