It came in a Christmas-style box, so it felt like receiving a gift, and it even included a laundry bag. I’m 5’4” and 154 lb, and the size L fits just right, so it layers well under winter jackets. (The photo is my 3rd-grade daughter trying it on.) A friend told me some heated vests have heavy batteries, but this one feels light. It comes neatly packaged in a box, it includes a laundry bag for the vest as well. Once you charge up the power pack to full,100%, you're ready to go! It easily plugs into the USB port provided in the jacket, and there's a zippered pocket where you can put the battery pack. The front control on the left chest area is easy to get to and it is multifunctional. Not only is it an "on and off" switch. You can change between three different heat settings, and it's color-coded as well. You can also adjust where you would like the heat to go on the vest, whether it be the neck part, the belly part, the essential waist part. What an ingenious idea. The best thing---it is not bulky by any means, and it is a perfect fit for me. I ordered a medium, and it fits great with a little room to spare. Like I said, it's a really soft material, I love the black color, it goes with everything, and it is very inconspicuous if you would like to put it underneath a winter jacket(although you probably won't need a winter jacket because this will keep you toasty warm all by itself)!!!
