I was honestly surprised by how nice these pants are. The fabric feels thick and durable, but they’re still lightweight and easy to move around in. I went with my usual Medium and I’m 5'6", 145 lbs, with a 28" waist and 38" hips. They fit really well, though they’re a smidge snug on my hips and thighs since I carry more weight there, but they’re not tight and actually feel good. There’s just a light stretch to the fabric, but not a lot, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of give. I like the high waist design, and even though the waist is fitted, there’s an elastic waistband in the back so it’s not too tight and feels comfy. I really like that there are four real pockets with two in the front and two cargo pockets on the sides. The back pockets are just for looks, and while I would have loved actual pockets there, it’s not a big deal. The straight leg style and the seam down the front make my legs look longer. I think these would be awesome for hiking because the fabric feels thick, but I can still move easily. Honestly, they’re comfy, look good, and I’d totally wear them for more than just hiking.
