The material actually looks better in person than the listing photos, it has a soft sheen, not plastic-y shiny. The shaft is very soft so it does slouch naturally and gives that effortless “scrunchy” editorial vibe. They definitely read like a designer boot from far away. The pointed toe is sharp looking but it didn’t crush my toes like most pointed boots do. The heel is a thin stiletto style but it feels surprisingly stable I wore them out to dinner and drinks and I was fine walking around. I’d call the heel around 2.75–3 inches. Not sky high, but still very leg-elongating. I ordered my regular size and it fit perfectly with a thin sock. If you are in between sizes or like thicker socks, you might want to size up half. I have average calves and these do not fit tight,they are meant to be loose and slouchy, so if you’re looking for a snug structured tall boot, this is not that. But if you have fuller calves, the softness/flexibility of the shaft is actually a plus because it doesn’t feel constricting at all.
