Size 9 in brown. The softest faux leather I have ever had the pleasure of feeling. They are soft as buttah my mom would say. The zipper on the inside of each boot works flawlessly. The heel is just a tad bit for me because at 65 I worry about stumbling and it pushing my toes forward into the pointed toe base more than I'm use to after not wearing a heel for well over 20 years. But that is my problem and not the boots or people who are use to a heel. The inside is also a padded lining from knee to toe. Very nice and soft but what that means is that you cannot fold the top over so the boot isn't all the way to just under the knee. For me I felt it rubbing behind my knee and would have liked to roll the top over a bit to preclude that rubbing and still had a stylish boot look. It is not a possibility with these. I also think they would have looked a bit more modern not reaching all the way to the knee and be more versatile by having the fold over option. The foot bed has some support, nothing too think and for me I would put in a bit more padding for comfort. But my daughter thought they were fine the way they were (she is about to be 18 yo). It really is a preference thing (age thing too). Since I don't wear mini skirts anymore (and you should be grateful for that), I find they look good with mid-calf skirts quite well. Certainly for winter they bridge that gap in basic shoes and the skirt where the air can be cold on the leg but the boots keep that gap covered. They would also look great with jeans. I haven't bought a fashion boot in years but to me the price is reasonable for these soft as buttah boots. While they aren't perfect for me they are super cute and stylish and made very well. These boots are about the same quality as other faux style boots like this. The color literally looks like milk chocolate. I cannot say that I agree with the boot material being around the actual outer heel, it seems like a train wreck waiting to happen bc one walk somewhere outside and that heal is getting ripped up beyond repair. I assume the boots are made for wider calves bc I have average calves and the boots have a big gap around the bottom of my knee area. I personally am looking for a boot that is sturdy and doesn’t slouch down at all. This boot, for me, I have to adjust so it doesn’t slouch. I feel these boots in this style are overpriced for the lack of quality. Read more
