This is a super-nice sweater. Very well-made and with a unique design that combines two fashion design staples: Houndstooth and colorblock. A combination of cotton and Acrylic, it feels a bit like wool or mohair, which makes it itchy for some people. But even if you can't wear wool, you can still wear this cardigan over another fabric, like a shirt, where it won't easily touch your skin.. You may notice what looks like lint on it in some photos and it's a combination of the sweater's own fibers and a bit of pet hair. It may pick up pet hair that may show on the black parts, so expect to use a lint roller on occasion. That's the tragedy of wearing black is you're a pet owner. It is warm and relatively long for a cardigan, which I like. But I don't wear cardigans just for the fashion sense. I get cold easily and always maintain a cardigan hanging on a chair back nearby. And the pink is a delicious color, which, combined with the black color block and broken up any the wide strip of houndstooth pattern, makes it a unique and trendy find. The neckline is also framed with the same pink. The buttons are a good size, but not overly large, and they are cream-colored with some slight shading that gives them an antique look. They are sewed on tightly and the sweater itself is a quality garment and is washable. Sizewise, I like my cardigans on the large size, so I ordered a large cardigan. It's more than roomy. I usually take a medium and would have also been happy with that medium. I'd say this garment runs true to size, which is actually nice because so many companies use different criteria in formulating sizes. But if you generally take a medium then I'd choose a medium unless you are looking for an oversized garment. I recommend this cardigan. This sweater is niece with sturdy buttons and it reaches my hips perfectly. The houndstooth trimming brings this garment to artistic life. I could almost wear this csrdigan without a shirt under it. The design is nice. They have the right idea, but it misses on a lot of levels for me. It's very very thin, and doesn't have any "form" just loose fitting and kind of hangs everywhere. The pink trim of the collar and button down area, are not the same pink as the lower half of the sweater. Not sure if that's intentional, and it doesn't look too bad, I just wasn't expecting that from the pic. I wanted it to be very oversized, so ordered an XXL which is a size up from my normal size, but it is still small! Looks more like a large. It is soft, but just not very well made in my opinion.
