I was hesitant ordering these pants because so many linen blends can look cheap. I didn’t need to worry because these pants are a beautiful blend of linen and cotton and look fabulous! They are flowy, perfect for the summer, but I will say that they run in the small side…I usually wear S but I sized up to a M because Asian sizing tends to be more slim cut than American sizing. The pants also have what I’m calling a modesty lining, which looks like a pair of 3” inseam shorts made of a thin white cotton sewn into the waistband. You can’t detect them when wearing but since this type of linen blends fabric tends to be thin, it actually blocks darker panties and panty lines. Ingenious! At 5’3”, I’m used to having bottoms shortened and these are no exception. I ordered these Linen Wide Leg Pants in a size medium, and unfortunately they do not fit true to size at all. The length is too short, and the waistband is noticeably tight. A wide-leg pant should drape loosely, but these fit snugly around my hips and butt, which defeats the intended style. After carefully washing them in the machine, they shrank even more, making the fit worse. That was especially disappointing given that the material itself is actually quite nice. The fabric feels comfortable, is not see-through, and the black color held up well after washing. The stitching and hems also appear well done. Overall, while the material quality is good, the sizing is way off, and the shrinkage after just one wash makes these impractical. I ordered a size Medium based on the size chart (waist 31.63", hips 39.13"), which should’ve been a safe bet. But these pants are tight, especially in the butt and hips. There’s no way they’d fit someone with a 42" waist as advertised. They technically fit, but it’s not comfortable or flattering, and definitely not the “loose fit” they claim. The fabric is thicker than expected for something marketed as lightweight summer wear. I do appreciate the built-in liner (no see-through issues), but in the tan color, it feels unnecessary. If I’d ordered white, I’d probably love that feature. Overall, the style is cute and the construction seems solid, but the fit and fabric missed the mark for me. If you’re looking for breezy, relaxed linen pants, size up (maybe even two sizes) and know that the fabric isn’t as airy as it looks online. Read more
I wore these pants to Kenya at the height of summer (where it’s incredibly humid) and they felt great! The fabric is light and soft and breathable. My only complaint is that the waist is a bit smaller than I’d like, so it felt tight on my tummy instead of loose and comfortable. Read more
