Very comfortable to wear during labor, unlike the regular hospital gowns. The hospital gowns were too big and would choke me at the same time. This made my labor so much more enjoyable. It was stretchy enough all throughout labor and breathable. The anesthesiologist was able to use the buttons in the back to place my epidural without a problem. When baby was born, I unbuttoned the front buttons to do skin-to-skin with my baby. I plan to keep my gown and use it for next time I’m in labor and delivery. It washes well and keeps its softness. I bough this for a home birth that ended up becoming a hospital birth. The gown worked great for both. It was very comfortable laboring, dried fast when I got water on it, easy to maneuver in as I moved around to different positions. At the hospital the gown allowed for an epidural, EKG, and all the other interventions they needed to do. Afterwards breastfeeding and skin to skin was easy. Quick note, the sleeves do NOT unbutton completely. Was also missing a button snap but it was in an inconspicuous area. Good soft material. Read more

I bought 6 different types of delivery / post partum gowns and this one by far is best for delivery in the hospital. The dress itself is nice quality and soft, and a strict upgrade to the hospital gown while maintaining same flexibility / functionality. Here’s why it’s perfect for the hospital: - the back can fully open so you can have an epidural inserted with the dress on, also much easier to lift up when you’re lying in the bed and can’t move -the front can fully come down during skin-to-skin contact after the baby is born, and for any breast exams -fully open front also made it much easier for breastfeeding especially as a new, inexperienced mom -given how many buttons there are it’s really easy to adjust how tight / lose the dress is around various areas at any time If I had 1 suggestion it would be to also add buttons on the sleeves - it would make it easier to take off the sleeves while having an IV on your hand / arm (right now you’d have to unclip the IV, take my arm out of the sleeve then put the IV back on). Now that I’m back home there are many other nice post partum dresses, but this is hands down the best for delivery / in hospital. Read more

Nothing went right with the birth of my first child. He came 2 weeks early, and labor started with my water breaking, which everyone told me would not happen. The stress of the experience meant I couldn’t deliver in the birthing center I wanted because my blood pressure was too high. From start to finish, my labor was 7 hours long and excruciatingly painful all in my back. I credit my labor team for helping me through it without an epidural. This gown was one of the few condolences I had left. It was cute, comfortable, easy to put on, and not too hot or cold. Breastfeeding and skin to skin were super easy with the buttons, plus their location worked great for maintaining modesty when in laws came to visit. Other nursing nightgowns were too hot for me, but this one was so breathable. When we had to stay an extra night for observation, I chose to stay in this gown rather than change into my less comfortable ones. I got so many compliments at the hospital too.
