The fabric is every bit as great as described. I very much wanted these pants to fit the moment I touched them. The problem was the size of the waist being large relative to the pants. I suppose many people who order size XXL have a waistline that’s bigger than their hips, but my waist is small relative to my hips. That’s why these didn’t fit me. There was no drawstring to attempt to remedy the problem, but that’s not the manufacturer’s fault. None was mentioned in the description. I’m hoping they make more styles using this fabric in the future and that some come with a drawstring. Read more

My family loves to spend the day on the beach so I bought these Coolibar Perissa Pants to wear over my bathing suit. They are perfect to wear for driving to and from the beach as well as walking and sitting on the beach. I take them off for swimming. They look great and they provide 50 spf protection. The white Perissa pants are translucent under the sun, but since I'm wearing a bathing suit that isn't a problem. I also sized up to Medium (I'm 5'7", 124 lbs, normally a Small or XS with most US-sized clothes). The Medium over my bathing suit provides enough flow in the pants to stay cool. I went to Turkey for a long vacation and wanted some sunblock clothes. These fit well, wash and hang out well, and were perfect for very hot touring days when I wanted to protect my legs from the sun. I totally recommend them! Read more

For better or worse, these pants are featherweight-light. They felt so light when I tried them on. However, I felt like they showed too much given how light of a color they were. I'm not talking about by any means, and I suppose these are meant to be cropped, but the length was not flattering for me. The lightweight material also made me worry that the wrong move could rip them, but they did feel somehow sturdy, too. All this being said, I'm not confident that pants as sheer as these could be all that protective. Read more
