I weigh 250 with lots of bum and belly, and am 5’8” with long legs. Going by the size chart measurements, I ordered 4xTall, wanting a slightly relaxed fit. OMG they were ridiculously too big. Returned them for 2xTall. (No drama with the return, by the way, did it via Amazon, easy peasy.) In 2xTall, the waist is “just right” and unlike yoga pants/leggings, these do not hug my shape like a second skin. Instead, they fit like, well, slacks…e.g., slightly slack. Exactly what I wanted. They feel nice. They are slightly looser in the hips than I prefer (1xTall might have solved that problem but then might have been more snug than I prefer in the thighs), but that’s fine...I always wear tunic style tops anyway. Regarding the length, 33” is an inch too long for me but 30” is irritatingly short. I was going to hem them if they didn’t shrink a bit in the wash, but they did: about an inch. Perfect! I live in my Skechers and Easy Spirit walking shoes; the pants are the perfect length now with those shoes, which have somewhat thick soles/cushioning. The fabric is a nice weight for Fall…not too heavy, not too thin. Probably too warm for hot summer days, and not very warm for winter (but you could easily layer up with a thin pair of tights or leggings). I washed these pants in cold water, dried them on medium heat, and folded them straight out of the dryer before they could wrinkle, as I do most of my clothes. I have zero tolerance for garments that require more fussy handling than that. So they are easy care when it comes to laundering. If these last a year or two with regular casual wear each week, then I am happy with the value for their cost. I *probably* could have worn a 1xTall but I ordered 3 more pairs in 2xTall. In my experience, 95% cotton/5% spandex pants can shrink through a couple of washings. 2xTall fits now, and will fit a bit better if they shrink a little more. These are my favorite brand of pants. They stretching all the right places but yet they retain their shape. They wash up very well. No issues with peeling. They’re even comfortable enough to sleep in. I’d only do I wear them for daily where I also wear them to bed lol. There does seem to be a little variance in size. I am thinking it depends on what country they were manufactured in. So if they don’t fit perfectly size up or size down. I also like the quality. They last a long time through many washings. I love these except the plastic thread. I got holes in the butt end after 3 times wearing them. Looked at the thread and I’ve never seen thread that’s made of see through plastic very weird. Plan to have to fix them coming apart with your sewing machine if you buy them. Other wise great pant fit and deep pockets. Stretchy so easy pull on. Read more
I have bought these pants from Catherine's several times. Gre at pant for the office. However, when ordering online, upon arrival, the product is great, but they are so big (even though I ordered the same size previously and the fit was fabulous) I had to return them. Bought a smaller size, "which made me feel good", but hopefully will fit. Read more
Nice material; for me the pants were too big in the abdomen, thighs, and the length too long. The jabbing of the label that says "DO NOT REMOVE" prevented me from wearing them so I cut the plastic line and now the pants are unreturnable after 1 wear to try. Policy too stringent for me as I rarely even purchase pants online and now a pair I cannot wear. I don't like to alter pants that have nice fabric as these are so they will hang in my closet. I used to buy another top brand, but they changed a few things. I took the chance and now I'm a Catherine's fan! Love the 2 pockets! Fabric is soft but not thin, I like a substantial fabric weight. I'll be buying more, double up on 3 colors I bought and add other colors. Read more
