I ordered this Enchanting Essence satin fishtail midi skirt in black size medium. It comes in several sizes. Due to its lack of stretch it runs a bit small, so I advise sizing up. This long skirt with fishtail hem can be worn in all four seasons with sandals in the Spring and even in the Winter with boots, dressed up or dressed down. Pair it with a sweater, blouse or T-shirt. This little skirt is one of those pieces you reach for again and again because it works with so many looks! Dressed down with a tee and flats or dressed up with a sexy jacket and heels, you really can’t go wrong with this one. I got it in black, so it’s super versatile. And although it’s polyester, the fabric has a buttery soft, rich, satiny feel. The elastic waistband is a little strange, folded over and stitched down at the sides, and looks like it might roll over during wear. But it is quite forgiving and makes slipping the skirt on and off a breeze. The flared hem is very flattering, as is its tea length (just a bit longer than midi but not quite maxi). I got a size medium, my usual pant size is somewhere about US 6-8 and I believe I got the right size (hips 40" waist 30"). The elastic waistband wasn't bad, it fit where I wanted it sit on a higher waist, but the construction is fairly basic. I expect regardless of waist size, there will be some puckering at some points since they were attempting for a very smooth look; but with like a fold into/over style elastic band, it's not really high-quality fitting or the right type of stretch material to do this. It would also be useful to have a front and back labeled, as this did not have any tags whatsoever so I just sort of guessed it fit better facing once way than the other (with the seam lines on the sides). The fishtail wasn't super obvious, and maybe since I have thicker thighs/hip or am shorter it doesn't really ever achieve the look similar to the modeled photo. I also should mention I'm 5'3", and this is hitting pretty mid calf/almost midi, which I don't think is as flattering. And lastly, the material...I think it requires a slip as after a couple hours in the dry winter it became super static-y and clung uncomfortably around my legs. I did worry about panty lines since it felt thin, but didn't seem to have too much of an issue with that. it does wash and dry easily, as it got out the wrinkle folds right away. Overall, it is serviceable. But it didn't really achieve the look I was going for; I don't know if this is the solid basic staple to add to your closet. Read more

It was confusing at first that the waist just does look right when put on. Only upon closer inspection it was determined that high waist was sewn close at the sides. So the quick solution is to not wear it high waisted, and let it come down with the fold. No big deal, maybe just some thread that needs to be cut. The skirt is still everything the title described, elegant, sexy fishtail, and silky sheen and slightly stretchy perfect for the evening occasions. It wears true to size. The stretchiness probably allows a little tolerance to size down for a tighter fit. As mentioned already, the satin fabric is slightly stretchy which is great for clothing made of satin(they didn't stretch long ago and always was clingy) but not this new satin fabric. It feels almost breathable if that makes any sense. Black is the perfect color for most formal occasions paired with a matching black top, you have a complete outfit that is going to enhance you silhouette and hide any imperfections. I don’t usually reach for polyester, but I needed a simple black maxi skirt and this one ended up pleasantly surprising me. The fit was great. I’m between a 23–24 inch waist and it sat comfortably without feeling tight. For reference, I’m 5’2 with about a 26 inch inseam, and the length worked well on me without dragging.
