The design is flattering in theory—the high-waisted shorts and fitted tank are meant to contour your shape and give that snatched, gym-ready look. Here’s the catch: the size chart led me astray. I’m 5’3”, 128 lbs, usually a small/medium, and I ordered a large based on the chart. Big mistake. It fit loose and didn’t give that body-hugging, booty-lifting effect I expected. I bought this workout set for my daughter after she recently joined a gym. I wanted to show my support and get her something she’d feel confident wearing — and this set did not disappoint! At $20 when I picked this up (I see it's now permanently lowered by 5 bucks), I'd call the value a 2/5, a little below average. My review is based on the value assigned to me, because I'm accountable for that, and not any subsequent lowering on here to attract customers. So you'll have to take that into consideration in regard to my rating here. Absolutely had this been 15 to me, I'd have rated the value better. But at 20 to me, no, that's a bit of price gouging. lol. In terms of quality though, this outfit is not too bad, though it's also not overly good. I'll explain. It's soft, comfortable, stretches well and fits true to size. 5'0 and 110, I picked up a small and it fit well. That's the good part. But... The material is 90%Polyamide and 10%Elastane. Listen, different people will have their opinions on this, and some may have no clue. Look up what each type of material is and what it does. I have a very active lifestyle and put 1000s of miles of hiking and activity on my gear. My preference is a for a blend of about 70/30 in this type of active wear. I find that sheds water/wicks, has solid durability, and so on. 80/20 is not bad though I notice it wears a lot faster. Again, I put mine through it, so I have a good sense now of what these blends do in the long run. At 90/10, that's just a really poor blend of material for making an active wear, only second worse to 100% poly. Don't bother with that stuff. So the quality here is really a 2/5 or 3/5 for someone who understands active gear. Thus, overall, I'm really at a value of 2/5 and a quality of 2.5/5 which makes my total rating a 2.25/5 here. This Women’s Seamless Workout Set is a very cute matching outfit for exercising. I like that the sports bra has removable padding, which makes it easy to customize the fit. The set fits true to size overall and offers nice compression in the stomach area. I do wish the gym shorts were more stretchy, as they felt a bit tight at the leg hem even though my thighs are quite slim.
