If you pick one of the lighter colors, darker or patterned clothing underneath might show through a bit. With darker colors like the navy, that really isn’t an issue. It’s very lightweight, which makes it perfect for spring, summer, or warmer weather. If you want something a little special to throw on, even as part of a lingerie set or for lounging, this works really well. The robe includes a matching belt and one inner tie, but the tie system only secures on one side of the waist while the other end hangs loose outside. You really need to use the belt to keep everything in place, which works fine but adds a step if you're rushing. I wish both sides had tie points for a more secure wrap before adding the belt. The robe stayed closed during normal movement and didn't shift around once tied, so it works well enough for getting ready photos or quick morning wear around the house. It's machine washable on cold gentle cycle and I hung it to dry without texture changes. This is a solid budget option for bachelorette parties, bridal showers, or casual loungewear if you don't mind the asymmetric tie closure and single-sided satin feel.
