Nice quality, cozy liner, waist is larger than expected.

I read the reviews on these pants to help me determine the correct size to order. I intended to use these for biking to work and for hiking, so I wanted them large enough to fit a light layer underneath. I ordered a 36, per other reviewers. I wear a size 10 pant, size 8 dress/skirt. The pants are definitely large enough to wear something underneath, but honestly are large & bulky enough that they look a bit ridiculous. The length is much too long— I’m not long-legged so I expected some extra length— about 4” longer than I expected. The waist is the largest part of the pants for me. I’m not small-waisted or anything, so that was a surprise. There is some elastic at the waist, but it is of such a light elasticity that it isn’t really of any use. The pants do come with a belt but it doesn’t feel sufficient for my needs (too much bulk due to the pants being too large). I’ll definitely keep this pair for use when I am playing in the snow or something more extreme when I’ll wear thicker layers underneath. However, for the purpose of hiking or biking, they are simply too large. I like them enough that I’ll order a size down, for sure. Read more

Great value

(Just got them out of the package & wore outside for 20 minutes; will update if my opinion changes after some use) Pros: - Seem to be well made. - Pockets are plentiful & seem to be able to hold up to moderate use (I've had similar pants before whose pockets ripped after a few times; these seem more promising). - Warm, but not CRAZY warm. I can wear them indoors with the heat on, without feeling overheated. But they're also plenty warm enough to wear outside (it's about 30*F here right now; haven't tested yet in any kind of snow/wind/rain). - They look nice with some "interesting" seams & lines to make them look kind of "sporty". Cons: - The odd knee-high pockets. The size/location of the pocket itself is fine (it's on the outer edge of the knee), but the decorative placket stitched over it is in such a strange place. It feels kinda funny every time you bend your knee; not problematic really -- just kind of weird. - They run a bit large! I'm 5'7", a muscular 170 lbs; I wear a size 12 in most jeans, sometimes a size10. I wanted to be sure I could fit a thermal layer under these pants if needed, so I got a 36. They seem to be close to a women's size 14-16. These aren't so large that I need to return them; and the design makes them look streamlined enough that I don't LOOK like I'm swimming in them. But I do need a belt...which brings me to my next critique: - THE INCLUDED BELT IS GARBAGE. You WILL need your own belt. I'm literally going to throw away the one that came with the pants. - They are a *lint magnet*! I've had them on for all of 30 minutes & there's already dog fur everywhere! I swear my house isn't that bad. LOL All in all, I'm happy. Would buy another pair if these hold up as well as I expect. Read more

Fits pretty much true to size

I was convinced it works when I was wearing it in the snowy weather and I didn't feel cold but when I was changing in a public outdoor restroom and was removing my pants it felt like a burst of cold air was shot at me. I put it back on and felt warm again. The only negative is it's too long for me but I'm a short person so length is always an issue for me. Very comfortable and good quality Read more

Didn't work for me.

These are nicely made pants but they didn't work for me. I am usually a size small (5'7" 125 lb). My inseam is 32" and it is hard to find pants that aren't too short. I read the reviews and got a size medium because I wanted them to be long enough. They weren't. The fabric is thick and I believe these would be waterproof. I do think they would also be warm. I thought the pockets at the knees were weird. I don't know what you would use them for and they only served to make the stiff, waterproof fabric even more stiff at a point you need it to bend. Maybe after wearing it a few times, it loosens up. I wish manufacturers would offer longer lengths. I returned these. Read more

WARMMMM

These pants are awesome!!! Purchased for a trip to Norway and wore them every day I was there. They kept my legs warm and they kept my belongings safe with their nice deep zipper pockets. I was nervous about the size but I am an 18 W/1X and they fit perfectly, and they are comfortable. And wash well. Highly recommend for travel, and they’re just great for the cold weather Read more
