This dress is actually perfect. I didn't expect it to look as good as it does in the photos, but it really does! The epaulettes really make this look like a well-made dress, add visual interest, and allow a basically sleeveless look with a bit of upper arm coverage. I'm 5'7, weigh 180. Based on reviews, I wanted to get an XL, which I think would have worked. I got an XXL because it shipped much sooner. There was a little space in it, and I will need safety pins for the straps as they wanted to fall down. But overall, I'm delighted. My first impression when I took it out of the package was that it had some weight to it which tells me it is decent quality. It fits nicely for the most part. I wish they had a size xs. I am 5'5" with a 34A bust, a size small for shirts and a size 2/3 for pants. I will need to wear heels with it but they won't need to be crazy tall. The top part has built-in cups so if you are large enough to fill them (I am not) then you wouldn't need a bra. I will wear one just for comfort but I could get away with not wearing one. I love the beads that hang on the arm. They make the dress feel super fancy. The mid section isn't as fitted as I would have hoped but again I should be an xs if they carried that size. I plan on pinning it. My event will be at night and nobody will even notice. I may have it altered if possible after. I plan on posting photos after the event and adjusting my review if necessary. As of right now I would recommend it to anyone size 4 and up and maybe no shorter than 5'4" unless you love super high heels. Worked great for my Marilyn Monroe “Happy Birthday Mr President” costume. Length was perfect and comfortable. I did remove the beading from the shoulders as it was a bit rough and quite heavy. Couldn't return this. The material was not see-through, functionality wasn't the greatest around the arms, not warm whatsoever, the style was so pretty I wish it was easier to wear.
