Great kit for fixing up the cracks and scratches on my wood floors. I have a kid who loves to drag and grind all kinds of metal objects into my floors and while I've given up on the floors ever being scratch-free again, I've used these wax crayons a bunch to help mask the really deep ones. Very easy to apply and enough wax in each crayon to last for decades. Comes in a nice case to keep them organized and I find that it's easier to match the color and tone of my wood since I can see all of the crayons at once. Read more
I had a small scratch in my table, Usually, I just get out my wood stain and just treat the table with the stain and a cloth. but, I wanted to try the wax. On this particular surface because the wood is porous and has a lot of grain to the wood, I think a liquid would be better. Perhaps the wax would work on laminate. In the set were a lot of color tones I will never use. I get this is a variety pack, but I seriously doubt I will use these often. We are planning to remove carpet and install hard laminate floors. Have seen how easily laminate vinyl flooring can scrape. however, when "cleaning" the repaired surface, my assumption is that the wax will be pulled out. where a stain is a more permanent fix as a permanent stain, not temporary fix. I have yet to go around the house and see best applications of this. Our floors are currently tile and carpet. We have mostly walnut wood tones (furniture is 35 years old, plus several older inherited antique wood pieces, some with cherry wood or cherry stain.) I was NOT "wowed" by the product that everyone should have this on hand for repairs. Read more
