My front of belly has been flattened, my obliques have been narrowed, my abdominal soreness has been relieved, my bowels have been moved, my hemorrhoids have been calmed, and my entire digestive system has benefited from wood therapy application. But don't get me wrong: wood therapy can be used over your entire body for a multitude of reasons(to rid fat, to rid cellulite, to tone skin, to drain lymph, and etc.). But personally I've only used it on my face, my injured right knee(with a torn meniscus), and my abdominal area. In which my midsection is the focus of this review. Great value overall and wood appears to be of good quality for the price upon initial inspection of this product. I can’t speak to the durability as I just received the product but each piece feels sturdy and I will handle it with care. You can use enough pressure on the skin without it feeling flimsy but it does have a breaking point. The flat roller contouring massager wood is good quality nice large size and smooth, however, the strings that run throughout it are built into the handles which I felt the string itself and the connection to the handles are not very sturdy. I will be mindful using it and may find a way to reinforce it somehow. None of the wood pieces looked or felt warped, they are sealed with a semi gloss finish and roll smoothly over the skin. I tried to investigate and inquire about what they use as a sealant to protect the beech wood but no luck. If anyone else knows please post about it. I researched that Beech wood is said to be prone to warping and splitting if not sealed properly/evenly and if exposed to moisture. Using oils on the skin is best for lymphatic drainage massage use so I’m concerned about longevity in that case which includes discoloring and warping. Watch out for this overtime. Finally, it would have been a nice touch if the set came with a storage bag/case. But I plan on purchasing something like a felt type bag material. I gave it 4 stars due to the lack of storage bag, no disclosure of the sealant used, the strings on the flat massage roller being a bit flimsy, and the fact I have not actually tested the product yet. Had 2 Hip and 1 knee replacement in 6 months. This helped me personally more with pain and muscle stiffness/soreness (along w/Physical Therapy) than any medication. We found it easy to use. Kept the stocking on while using it on the sensitive leg, avoiding areas of surgery. Utilize 3-4 of them regularly and have used all but one. Did not start using until 1 month after surgery, not sure if I could have used it sooner. Asked Physical Therapist before we started using them. Here's to great and total recoveries for everyone!
