Closest thing to J&J Reach Gentle Gum Care woven floss I've found but better because it is affordable. Same gentle unwaxed texture that hugs teeth and easy to use instead cutting off the circulation in my fingers trying to hold it taut. It isn't quite as fibrous as Gentle Gum Care so sometimes I just use two strands instead one if I skipped a flossing. It does not shred in use. Peppermint flavor is not overpowering. It took 7 years to find this! While J&J does sell cinnamon Reach Gentle Gum Care at an outrageous price (if you can find it), I'll never buy it that again/ Read more
I am older, and have a bit of trouble holding on to slippery dental floss, to the point that I was not flossing very often. I'm in my 70's and still have my own teeth and would like to keep it that way! This floss is easy to hold on to, making flossing much easier for me. The floss seems to be good at removing the gunk that collects in between my teeth. Some of my teeth are tightly spaced, but I had no trouble getting this between my teeth, which surprised me, as it appears to be relatively thick floss. As other people have mentioned, it comes with a refillable case, and 10 refills. I'm joining the pack of folks who wish there was an extra floss case or two, so as to have it at home, work, car, backpack, whatever. I really hesitated about purchasing this floss, as there was no option to try a smaller number of refills to see if it worked well for me. I'm glad I did buy it, and would buy it again. I had to remove the original dental floss installed in the dispenser. The person who filled the dispenser started the wrong end of the spool and the spool disintegrated to the point it couldn't stay in the dispenser. I had to throw that one away. Once I installed one of the other included woven dental floss rolls correctly, it is now easy to use and holds up well when using with my tightly spaced teeth. I discovered expanding floss after using an Oral-B coupon and loved the results, but the retail price was just too high. I searched Amazon and found this Woven Expandable Waxed Dental Floss — and it’s been fantastic. This floss expands as you use it and removes much more plaque than regular floss. It’s gentle on gums, glides easily, and does not shred at all, even in tight spaces. One tip: pull the floss tight as you guide it along the gums, then release tension as you pull it back out — that’s when it really expands and does its job. This is the best dental floss I have ever bought & used. In the past, I could not floss my teeth because the dental floss I had always got stuck in my teeth & would break & tear. This dental floss is strong, easy to use, & does NOT break or tear. It doesn't matter if your teeth are straight or crooked, or too close together, this dental floss works. The main picture, and the 3rd picture, show 2 dispensers, but you only get one. And it's not a particularly good one. The lid hinges along the same sort of thin bendy plastic you would expect from a disposable product. This is a necessary and functional part of the product. No way is it going to last through 10 spools of floss. The least they could do is provide what they show. Read more
