Very loose, very stretchy. The material is comfortable but definitely a size down. Zero shrinkage in hot wash and dry so there is no 'shrink to fit'. A smaller size might make you nervous if you are worried about shrinkage (like regular jeans) but that will not happen here. I really like these, I'm just disappointed in myself for thinking I could make them fit, rather than immediately exchanging for the next size down. that's on me, not the manufacturer or Amazon. Order a size down and they will be great. I'm between sizes (a 33) and got the 34. Should have a got a 32, and honestly with the stretch, I might have been okay with a 30 (I like a snug fit, just my preference). Read more
