Very warm and comfy, though a strong wind can still penetrate. The pockets are nice, with the cargo pockets having secondary pockets built in behind them. They've also been fairly durable, having concrete splattered on them repeatedly. I thought these said something about being stretchy but they aren't. They'll also shrink about an inch in the waist if you wash and tumble dry them. I bought some with a 32 waist initially and they no longer fit after washing. I then bought some with a 34 waist and have taken to letting them air dry, which is much quicker than I thought it would be, and that has worked much better for their fitment. Read more

I like these cargo pants, enough so, that I bought three pair. One feature I really like is the open pocket, concealed beneath the velcro-secured patch pocket on each leg. This pocket is the perfect size for a smart phone, and the lack of a flap or closure makes it easy to quickly slip your phone in and out. The pants, themselves, are comfortable and relatively well constructed. Two things result in a one-star deduction: first, the fabric is advertised as "stretch" but is hardly that---feels more like standard cotton. More importantly, though, is the fleece lining...it's rather thin, and while it does provide some warmth on a mildly cold day (thirties), it could be significantly thicker and warmer. I own other lined pants whose fleece is far more substantial, and I'm afraid I'll need to resort to them when the days are too cold (teens and below) to wear these. I love everything about these pants. The lining makes them super cozy. I am so cold in the winter (menopause and lost weight) that I wear two yoga pants plus these and I feel very good about the combination. They're 100% cotton for real, not just their word for it, because I've gotten pants before that were supposed to be cotton but I had an allergy. These are safe, I do not have any trouble wearing them. The pockets! LOVE the pockets. I've never had cargo pants before, and since I'm a woman wearing men's pants, this whole pocket thing is wonderful. Two front, two back, two on the leg, and the ones on the leg are both flapped and open, so the pockets have pockets!. I ordered this pair of pants for walking my dog on cold mornings and evenings, working in my yard on cold days, setting in the hunting blind. They are very comfortable, nice and warm, and great pockets. They look good enough to wear to town if I need to go and I don't have to change. My son in law purchased a pair of these pants for my husband. We had just moved to Conifer, CO from Fountain Hills, AZ, and he was cold all the time! Our son in law swears by these pants, and he is right. They are soft, comfortable, and most importantly, warm. We promptly ordered another pair in a different color as we don't expect super warm temperatures any time soon. I bought several pairs of these about three years ago. They were warm for the area of the country I live in. The slot pocket I used for my cell phone on the non-insulated version of these pants was too small for my phone on most pairs of these insulated ones. I wrote a suggestion to Wrangler, as I’m sure many others did as well, to enlarge this pocket and to add one on both sides. They have done just that!!!! My super rugged cell phone case fits in the pocket well, and there is one on both sides!!!! Now if they would just add that second pocket on the non-insulated ones. Those pockets could stand to be a little larger as well. I just ripped the edge loose on my newest pair of these non-insulated pants. Also, these pants are very comfortable, but they are not meant for rugged wear, they will tear up quickly under stressful usage. They are not work pants, but work great for the average day hiker.
