This jacket is much warmer than I anticipated. It feels heavy in a good quality type of way. It also feels rugged so it should last a long time. I would probably use this in a more casual outdoor setting. The side pockets do feel a bit off. They sit farther back than most jackets, so if you keep your hands in your pockets, it will have a slightly awkward angle. Really liking this jacket a lot! It is on the heavier side which I knew going in but honestly for the cold weather it makes total sense. Keeps you very warm and the quilted lining does a great job blocking the wind. The fleece lined hood is a nice touch too. The cotton shell feels sturdy and well made, this is not a cheap flimsy jacket at all.The fit is comfortable and relaxed, easy to move around in. Pockets are very useful for keeping essentials handy. This is a great coat for anyone living in the northern parts of the world, or the midwest! It's warm and fuzzy insulation feels great and reduces the need to bundle up on cold days.
